Working with Henryka Jewellery

Items c/o Henryka Jewellery

If you’ve seen my Instagram lately then you’ll have seen that I have been working as a brand ambassador with the wonderful Henryka Jewellery. This has been an absolute honour for me as I’ve long admired the brand and the gorgeous pieces that they sell.

Henryka is a British Brand inspired by nature. Each piece is unique and is made from sterling silver and a wide array of natural gemstones; from their signature amber through to turquoise, amethyst and rose quartz. I was given the chance to pick out some pieces from the range to share across my instagram, but I’m so in love with them I wanted to pop them up on the blog as well.

It’s going to be no great surprise to anyone that I managed to find a cat themed piece of jewellery to add to my collection. This sterling silver miniature cat necklace may be dainty but it’s earned me several compliments whenever I wear it. I’ve got it on a 16” chain, but it also comes in 18”-22” (prices starting at £20).

I fell in love with this silver and blue lace agate ring the second I saw it. It’s an absolutely stunning piece that has found itself a new place as my favourite every day ring. I’ve never seen blue lace agate before and it’s just so pretty. This ring is £45 and worth every penny.

I used to own so many pairs of stud earrings, but discovered a few months ago that they have been misplaced somewhere along the way. Since then I have been searching high and low for replacements with very little success. That was until I was given the chance to work with Henryka and found these silver star burst studs. I absolutely adore these earrings and I haven’t taken them out since they have arrived. Henryka have a huge array of stud earrings on their website, all around the £20 mark and I have several more pairs of studs on my wish list…as well as somewhere safe to store them!

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my picks. If I’ve tempted you by any of these pieces or anything else on the website catches your eye then Henryka are offering my readers a generous 15% off their orders when they use the code DAISY15 at the checkout. Let me know if you treat yourself, I’d love to see your haul.

Embroidery and Elephants

With my love of Henryka Jewellery already well documented on the blog it won’t surprise you in the least that I follow pretty much all of their social media channels. So when, last week I caught sight of a stunning new arrival and then kindly offered to send me one that I graciously (and very swiftly) accepted.

Elephant pendant c/o Henryka

Whilst all of the stone choices were stunning for some reason rose quartz has always been something I am drawn to, rumoured to lower stress and tension in the heart, allowing repair of the damage caused my negative emotions (an also known as the romance stone as it’s believed it can also attract love) this was always the stone I picked when taken to various fossil and crystal shops on Devon holidays as a child.

The detailing on the Indian elephant is just beautiful and it hangs like a dream from it’s 16.5″ chain. It seems to be, the perfect summer silver accessory and as such I’ve been wearing it non-stop.

Vest: Primark (last year) | Jeans: Glamorous (some sizes still available) | Sandals: Sarenza (similar here)

Technically I’m on a clothes buying ban until I’ve put on enough weight to buy things that will fit me in the long term, just not for this interim period but these jeans…oh these jeans broke me! I’d been eyeing them up full price, so I when I saw them in the sale for just £15 I caved. And you know what? That’s ok, I refuse to feel bad about that. Just because I’m not in the greatest place physically or mentally right now I still deserve treats…and a pair of jeans that doesn’t leave my arse exposed to the world is actually kind of essential right?

I got a distinct 90s vibe from this outfit. I don’t know if it was the plaits that tipped the balance, the flatform sandals or just the “mom jeans” style but I felt transported back a couple of decades. Which is no bad thing in my eyes as long as there is a resurgence of shell suits any time soon.

Prints & Piercings

I’ve always been the impulsive kind of girl and most of my numerous piercings (well, perhaps not so numerous compared to some) have been a spur of the moment decision that I’m yet to regret. I’m trying to hold back on getting any more, but do find I easily tire of what I already have, so I was incredibly grateful when Body Jewellery Shop popped some new pieces of ear piercing jewellery through my door to save me the pain and indecision for a little while longer.

Dress and Top: Primark | Boots: H&M | Necklace c/o Henryka | Bangle c/o Guess Jewellery | Ring: Pandora

Ear piercings are undoubtedly my favourite kind of piercing to get (aside from my ears I only have my nose and navel done). Of all of these piercings I think my Rook is my most loved (not to mention the most painful) followed by my Tragus, which is now adorned with this sweet little heart labret bar. I love labrets that are internally threaded as it makes changing them so simple- I’m lazy and just exchange one screw with another rather than replace the entire bar. I’ve bought most of my collection from Body Jewellery Shop as they have the best selection of sizes, the prices are also really good and I’ve never had an issue with quality of the metal not being as expected.

I’m a bit of a magpie when it comes to unusual stud earrings and the second I saw these pink glitter studs I wanted them in my collection. I tend to stick to stud earrings for every day wear as they keep things more subtle for work, these are a super fun way to add in some sparkle without going OTT.

This outfit is what I wore on Valentines Day. Gone are the days where I’d stick on something heart shaped and spend hours wondering where Prince Charming was. Now Ben and I are together I’m far more low key about February 14th and we essentially spent the day chilling out together. This dress is such a fun way to brighten up darker days, I wear it more in Winter than I do in Summer actually as the cut out sides leave me feeling a bit exposed. Paired with a £5 high neck top and you have the kind of layering that I love the most.
Now I’ve written this post I’m feeling the need for a new piercing more than ever! Where should I get poked and prodded next? Fellow piercing addicts, where do you pick up your favourite studs and hoops? (Aside from Body Jewellery Shop of course!)

The Hybrid Dress of Dreams

Ever see a dress and you have no idea when on earth you’ll ever get chance to own it but need to have it regardless? That’s exactly what happened to me when I caught sight of the Isabella dress by Hybrid. I’m a sucker for a velvet dress at the best of times, but combine it with a maxi length and more than a hint of sequins and I’m a lost cause.

Dress c/o Hybrid | Shoes: Mary Portas for Clarks | Necklace c/o Henryka | Bracelet c/o lolaandgrace

After the faded glitz and glamour of the festive season it felt good to get all dressed up again even if it was purely for the purpose of a blog post. I’d dress like this all the time if it was more socially acceptable (although give me a week and I’d be craving jeans and knitwear). I was lucky enough to be sent some gorgeous jewels from lolaandgrace
that coincided with the arrival of the dress so I popped on this chunky chain bracelet to finish off the look (for once in my life). The Henryka Daisy necklace is a permanent feature around my necklace recently and thankfully it seems to compliment every outfit.

After such a long hiatus from regular blogging I seem to have fallen out of the swing of writing engaging blog posts- if mine could ever be counted as such! Fingers crossed inspiration strikes soon…

In the mean time, what do you prefer- dressing up or dressing down?
