Missguided & Smiley

This should be the last post which involves my faded red, somewhat overgrown hair as I finally bit the bullet and booked in for a bit of a revamp with my hairdresser. I’ve mentioned before that I am hopeless when it comes to hair and can’t get to grips with styling it myself and yet hate having someone else fussing with it…as I’m writing this I actually have no idea how it’s going to turn out, I haven’t even decided on the colour yet…this could end up one of two ways!

Tee c/o Smiley | Jeans: New Look | Shoes c/o Missguided

These jeans caught my eye the second I saw them in my local New Look. They are a bit out of my comfort zone, being very skinny fitting but at the same time they feel quite flattering and are really easy to wear for more casual summer days. They are a bit of a bargain at £19.99 (although a friend kindly gave me a 25% off voucher too) as the denim is a lovely quality and these will last me a good few years. I tend to prefer looser fitted cropped jeans, as is typical for me but I gotta learn to embrace those legs of mine and realise the whole world isn’t going to stop to point and laugh. Totally going to be living in these for the next few months.
The new jeans just begged to be paired with this cheerful tee from my new friends at Smiley (similar here). I couldn’t find the exact tee online but I’ve provided a close alternative. This was just one of a few bits and bobs they sent me and I just can’t help but feel cheerful when I look at any of them. Flattering fit and ultimate comfort aside, Smiley is a new favourite brand of mine for casual wear (and homewares, gifts etc) purely for the feel-good factor!
I’ve been toying with the idea of some ugly/pretty shoes for ages so when Missguided sent these ones my way I was delighted. They work perfectly with denim to balance out their statement style but I’m also really looking forward to pairing these with some floral dresses and pastel skirts too…they may not be to everyone’s taste but I am loving these!
What questionable items are you crushing on right now? I wouldn’t say no to these either…although my back might have something to say about them.
Which brands make you instantly happy?

I love this outfit especially the shoes. The jeans look great on you! I hate the hairdressers too, hope it goes well! Xx

I look forward to seeing your new hairstyle!

You look great in those jeans. I still havn’t bought any – but I might go for some looser fitting – perhaps vintage style ones in the autumn.

I have actually gone back to full time skirt wearing during this hot spell and have persuaded the rest of the girls in the office to wear skirts to work as well – unheard of for some of them! It’s funny how things go in a full circle as it was not long ago they were persuading me to start wearing trousers

    Have a good weekend
