River Island dress with collar, New Look tights and Georgia Rose c/o Sarenza competition boots.
I was in two minds about whether this dress was actually decent to be worn in public; the curse of being tall strikes once again. I hadn’t even intended to buy anything except a gift when I popped in to River Island in the Bull Ring, but oh, this blue, I fell head over heels (the £10 off tag may have helped swing it) and I grabbed it without giving much of a second thought.
I’m normally a girl who likes to be outside the confines of her house (I say my house, I mean my parents), but lately I haven’t wanted to leave it…the cold, the wind, the “is it snow/is it rain?” makes me long for a day where I can stay under the duvet. I think I mentioned before, that I do suffer from SAD and that I do struggle at this time of year, and I would like to apologise, in advance really, if I do get annoyingly negative on twitter and facebook…and to once again thank you all for the support you have given. I think the blogging/social media network is truly wonderful for anyone who is having a hard time of things, and I would say don’t be afraid to reach out, ever.
How are the Christmas preparations going? I’ve now finished the shopping, written the cards and wrapped most of the presents…all I need now is my Dad to put the tree and decorations up, and the festive songs blaring and I’m ready to roll.

How I love that collar on the dress! My Christmas shopping isn’t going too well – totally behind, the wedding has kind of got in the way with being organised this year. I probably should have more things sorted by now seeing it’s just over 2 weeks away!

I adore this dress, especially when teamed with grey tights. Recently remembered I have a pair of them loitering around and love how they give an alternative look to the classic black in these winter months.
