Cream Lace Tee: New Look
Blue Velvet Midi Skirt c/o Bristol St Vintage
Boots: Ellos
This is only the second time I’ve worn this beautiful velvet skirt from Bristol St Vintage. I’m not sure why as it really is my idea of a dream skirt but I do find it somewhat hard to style. I kind of feel like that with regards ot most of my wardrobe at the moment, so many bits and pieces yet nothing is well thought out or seems to go together.
I wore this outfit on Sunday (I’m so behind myself) to chill out with Ellie at the newly opened Impero Lounge in Portishead, local to us. Hello to our new favourite coffee (and lunch and just general hang-out spot), we’ve both been fans the Lounges chain for a while so it’s great that something has opened pretty much on our doorsteps and we’re both in love with the spacious, clean and friendly atmosphere.
I’m feeling the urge to do some serious shopping at the moment and overhaul my wardrobe for Spring/Summer. I always say this and never do it. I need to be saving money anyway, for both my holiday in August and an upcoming overnight trip to London with my Mum near my birthday. Last year my birthday went without much notice by me, or anyone due to what was going on at the time. This year I intend to celebrate to the max.
Do you have a favourite place to hang out with friends?

That skirt’s fab, I do love a bit of crushed velvet. xxx
Love that skirt, you look gorgeous

The skirt is gorgeous, though I feel the same with my wardrobe – so many individual pieces I love yet nothing seems to actually go together π your outfits are all gorgeous though so you’re clearly doing something right!
The skirt is lovely, I keep thinking the same as none of my old favourite items of clothing fit me right anymore, and I’m fed up of having to safety pin all my skirts and dresses together before I leave the house so they don’t fall down :/
I can’t buy anything at the moment due to my Lent spending ban, but I’m going to try and make a list of what I really need instead of just going a bit mental and buying things I want but won’t wear.
I don’t really have a favourite place to hang out with friends, my best friends live so far that any time spent with them is great and never enough.
Love the skirt! I have something similar, a dark blue velvet maxi skirt. I can’t wear it at the moment though as there is a fault in the waistband that makes it sit strange and it’s also a little long…
I usually hang out with my friend in Weston and often we’ll just walk around though we might go in McDonalds for a hot chocolate as my mum works in the Portishead branch and she gives me the tokens for free drinks XD
I must admit it was a bit of a shocker you mentioning my hometown in this post, I keep forgetting you live fairly close. I haven’t actually been in the Lounge yet though looking at the photos on the website it looks really nice and cosy π
How good does velvet feel as well!? Sooo soft and yummy. I love hanging out at coffee shops, I wish there were more that were open late (like in Friends).

I love lace and I love velvet. Your New Look Cream Lace Tee and Velvet midi skirt look lovely together. I love the feel of velvet. Even though your top and skirt are paired beautifully with one and other, It would be nice to have a lace skirt that matched the lace top and a velvet blouse to go with the velvet skirt. I love the feeling of hugging someone who’s dresses in al velvet and the look of the lace. Actually I just like the feeling of hugging – but haven’t. I’m a recluse and haven’t hung out with anyone in quite a while – so I have no favourite place to go. Maybe that’s why I dream so much.
