White Jeans two ways with George at Asda

Up until a couple of weeks ago I had never once worn white jeans. The only reason for this is that I simply don’t trust myself- I am a human dirt magnet with a tendency to spill coffee on a regular basis and every time I have been tempted to invest I’ve been reminded of this (thanks Mum!). Still, when George at Asda sent a pair of their white skinny jeggings in my direction along with a few other pieces I thought it was about time I gave them a whirl.

Given that I’m new to the whole white jeans thing I thought I’d give them ago by styling them in a couple of ways, one for a casual day time look and one for the evening. Now, neither top are pieces I’d have thought to pick out for myself but both I’m a big fan of. The navy and orange is a winning colour combination for me and this is perfect for chillier days (of which we’ve had plenty!). The evening top is just beautiful, I just don’t tend to buy this kind of thing for whatever reason. I’ve failed to capture in the photos but it has the most beautiful embellished collar detail (see similar on the website) and I like how the super pale colour blends with the white.
I’m open to any styling tips you might have for white jeans as I am determined to get some wear out of these. I’ve not owned jeggings for a few years and I had forgotten how damn comfortable they are with their elasticated waist…perfect for an evening of over-indulgence!

How would you have worn these?

Any guesses how long they remained bright white for?

  1. I am not a jeans wearer but I have been considering buying a pair of casual white trousers. Your white jeans look great on you and if they were mine I would style them with a tunic.

I prefer your orange and navy top – and to answer your question, being a keen gardener, the jeans would be certain to become blemished on me quicker than you!!

  2. They look really nice on you in both ways. I couldn’t wear them as I’m a spiller too!!!x

  3. White jeans are so versatile! They look good casual or dressed up, a few years ago my go-to outfit was white jeans with a grey slouchy top with sequin stripes – I wore this to anything and everything, just changing accessories to suit.

  4. Oh wow, I don’t think I can help with jeans styling tips but they look great on you -I don’t think I’d have thought of wearing them with a white top but it works so well!

  5. I have wanted a pair of cream skinny jeans but I just don’t know if I would wear them! I do love those on you they look really nice x

  6. I’m pretty scared of white jeans for the aforementioned reasons!

But if I were to give them a spin I’d plump for an outrageous multi-coloured vintage top to balance out all the white… or something neon!

For a more suitable day-to-day look (i.e. not needing sunglasses to look at me) a pretty Breton striped top would work really well.

Regardless of what I would wear with them- they look great on you!

I’ve never tried white jeans because, like you, I have The Fear that I will spill something on them or ruin them within the first 10 minutes. These photos give me faith that the white jean thang can be done – you look lovely and not a hit of a coffee spill! x

  8. I love the blue and orange with the white jeans, such a lovely colour combo on you. The heels with your cream & white combo are GORGEOUS as well.
