bread, milk, dress

This might just be my favourite dress of the year so far; and it only cost Ā£12 from George at Asda! I’m not one to follow trends as such, and I certainly never expected to follow the “scarf” print one, but when I saw the dress (and the price) I couldn’t leave it behind.

Worn with I Love Shoes boots c/o Sarenza for a manic Monday at work.

I had a good mooch around the highstreet shops with my Mum yesterday; lots around that I love and covet but everything seems SO expensive, and some of the materials out there right now are just horrible…oh, and every damn top/blouse I have liked is either cropped length or practically see through…WHY?!

What’s your best supermarket find?

  1. Totally agree with you on the tops thing – so annoying! x

  2. Lovely dress such a beautiful print. I have definitely been finding the quality of fabrics on the high street a big problem. I think you pay alot for what you get!

  3. I saw the thumbnail on blogger dashboard for this post and thought “I recognise that dress…” – it’s one I really want from Asda too!
You really suit it šŸ™‚ xxx

  4. I bought a top from George a few weeks ago, I have always overlooked Supermarkets, but there are some great finds to be had! xxx

  5. I adore that dress and CANNOT believe it’s from Asda.. holy cow, amazing. x

  6. Love this dress!!

  7. That’s a great find. My best ever supermarktet find was a cardigan by Tu from Sainsburys (although this was via a charity shop – my one and only good thrift find so far!) I seem to pop it on over everything at the moment.

  8. That dress looks fab on you!

I totally agree with you about the quality of high street goods though- half the time I just expect to have to replace something after 2 wears! That’s why I’m trying to limit myself to buying good quality stuff like leather bags or pure cotton tshirts.

  9. Love the dress too. Although not sure I could carry it off. I have been loving all the stuff coming out of George this season. And insane amount of beautiful blouses and tops for only Ā£10 which is such a good price. And I know exactly what you mean about the hig street, when did tops become see through! Why!! Loving a lot of the patterns and styles just hating the price? Although I treated myslef to a new dress at DP’s at full price which I never do (always buy sales!) but I had a xmas gift card left so only really payed Ā£7 hehe! Will have to show it off on the blog soon.

  11. What an absolute bargain, I love the print on this dress, much less garish and cheap looking than the bright pink and blue versions too.

  12. I really live that dress. I was looking at it online but theyve sold out of the smaller sizes, need to have a trip to Asda soon! It looks great on you.
I’m with you on the high street at the moment, so pricey and everything looks so difficult to wear!

  13. You have such an amazing dress collection!

  14. when I used to go to the supermarket I was always heading into the clothes section!
I am fed up with such low quality fabrics on the high street (although in the same shops you can find a whole variety of qualities, they have no standards.)

  15. What great find. i like the scarf dresses and saw a fantastic diy tutorial on how to make one. If only I could remember where??!!!

  16. Love it! I regularly pop into Asda for something or other and come out with clothing, it’s just so well priced.
I agree about everything being cropped/see through in the shops at the moment and there is some truly horrible nylon type fabrics around too!! šŸ˜€ xx

  17. I love this scarf print dress! šŸ™‚ I know what you mean about so many tops being cropped at the moment, annoying!

  24. That’s a great find, great price too! I saw a similar dress in zara for four times the price! Have to admit to really liking all the cropped t-shirts at the mo. They’re great for layering over dresses šŸ™‚ x
