soulblueprinted

I am head over heels in love with these bottle pendants made by soulblueprintdesign on Etsy. The shop is owned by my friend Becki and for years I have marvelled her talent and creativity. Ever since she opened her shop I’ve been wanting to feature it on the blog and when she added her latest designs I knew the time had come.

I think my favourite item in the shop is the Alice in Wonderland bottle pendant (£7) but it’s closely followed by the array of feathers (£6 each), white stars bottle (£6.25) and the birdcage vintage style bottle. As soon as I’ve made my mind up on which to buy first I’ll be treating myself, that’s if you lot haven’t cleared her out first!

Go take a look and let me know which one is your favourite. I’m looking forward to seeing what Becki comes up with next, although with her first baby on the way it might be a while…I think her creative energy is being used elsewhere right now!

strawberry fields

Dress, Missguided. Tights, Primark. Converse c/o Sarenza. All jewellery c/o Strawberry Fields

I’ve known (in the blogging sense) Charlotte, creator of Strawberry Fields jewellery for quite some time now through her blog and I was delighted when she started selling her creations, and even more delighted when she offered to send me a few pieces!

Everything in Charlotte’s shop is handmade, quirky and affordable; from the wooden flower earrings to my personal favourite Mad Hatter Brooch.
Other notable favourites are the pastel blue mix knitted collar, the disney princess jigsaw necklaces…and well, just about everything actually.

Charlotte is currently having a sale, too, to make room for exciting new stock so there really is no better time to have a browse of her shop…she is kindly offering 10% off at the checkout with the code DAISYCHAIN and it is worth ordering for her adorable packaging alone!

You can find out more/stalk Charlotte on twitter, on tumblr or at her blog. She is a total sweetheart so do say hello,
and let me know what you buy!

Miss Fluff

The title of this post doesn’t refer directly to Mae (although one could call her Miss Fluff too) but to the gorgeous necklace I’m sporting, kindly gifted to be by the talented Sare at Miss Fluff Jewellery. A graduate of London College of Fashion, and leather jewellery designer, Sare has an Etsy shop jam packed full of beautiful leather pieces at surprisingly affordable prices…

Cherry Blossom Bouquet, £22

Feather hair clip, £10

Red bunny brooch, £8

My necklace is Pink and White Blossoms and sells at £14. I teamed it with a Primark jumper, New Look skirt and ever faithful Yull chelsea boots.

What’s your favourite piece from Sare’s shop? It’d be rude not to treat yourself to it when she’s offering my blog readers a fantastic 15% off when they use the code DAISYCHAIN15 at checkout! Let me know what you buy!

Etsy Seller Spotlight: WestArtAndGlass

I’ve seen many bloggers do Etsy seller spotlights before, and yet I’ve never done one myself; this isn’t because I don’t love Etsy…far from it; it’s just…I’ve never felt 100% compelled to blog about a seller before. That all changed when I made a purchase from WestArtAndGlass, although I can’t show you what I actually bought because the recipient doesn’t have their Birthday just yet…

All the pieces in the shop are created by the delightful Zena West who shares this fab little bio on her website

My name is Zena West. I live in West Bridgford, a suburb of Nottingham in England, and I make glassy things. And to a lesser extent, arty things. Through the magic of the internet, I have sold these glass things to lovely people in Greece, New Zealand, Australia, Puerto Rico, 22 different states of the USA, Canada, Brazil, Poland, the Netherlands, Portugal, Scotland and Wales. I figure I just need a sale in Africa and one in Asia then my little slice of world domination will be complete… I also sell regularly to people in Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands, through participating in and organising local craft fairs.
I am 27. I am mildly obsessed with giraffes and Star Wars. I love cats, but they don’t like me. I once met Badger of “Bodger & Badger” fame. One day I want to open up a little glass/art/book/coffee shop and be my own boss. My worst vice is crisps, I eat on average 3 packs a day. Salt and vinegar Discos are the best. I live with my lovely husband/muse John, who can never remember how old he is, occasionally takes awesome photos, and hates cheese and Marmite. Weirdo. Still, he doesn’t grumble too much when he treads on a glass splinter.”

And although I can’t share my actual purchase with you, I can share some of the other delights that Zena has created.

“Arty Wave”

Star Wars Slogan Coasters

Patterned Bowl

Millefiori Coasters

Hooray for Everything Coasters (a.k.a. the happiest coasters EVER!)

And if you are tempted by any of these, or the 40ish other pieces in Zena’s shop, she’s offering 5% off your order when you quote the code DAISYCHAIN on checkout!

What’s caught your eye in the shop? Let me know if you make a purchase!

Are there other sellers that I’m missing out on?

P.S. Massive thank you to Zena for agreeing to being featured, and for the swiftly delivered, well packaged purchase!

sunshine and shops

Hello, Happy Saturday! How is your weekend going? I worked this morning but have otherwise being enjoying the gorgeous weather and spending time with my family. This included baking scones and cake for them yesterday, and seeing my grandparents today…perfect!

Photobucket

The ever popular cheese scones! Apparently these were even better than the last lot, but the only thing I changed was the shape!

And this is just a simple sponge cake with added mixed spice, mixed peel and white chocolate.

Yesterday was another floral outfit day, with the worlds most comfortable sweater to add a little warmth. The jumper was a gift from Mum, and came from New Look (of course) for a very reasonable £10

I am also really excited to share with you a newly opened Etsy shop from the talented Sophie, over at diary of a young designer
Sophie has long been a blogger friend of mine, so when she told me she was opening a store I was beyond delighted for her!
Her shop FunnyPeopleCo sells beyond gorgeous hand-made accessories. My top three picks from the shop are:

Photobucket

Embellished tights in white with black pearls, $10…you know me and my tights addiction, so you can see why I’ve fallen head over heels for these!

Photobucket

Golden Nautical Knot hairband. I love all things nautical (it’s my inner pirate) and I’ve recently developed a love for hairbands, too, so this is top of my wishlist right now! $13.25

Photobucket

Ruffles, for your hair?! YES PLEASE, this band is inspired by Gossip Girl’s Jenny and costs $16.50

so go check out her shop and show a fellow blogger some love! I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
