Motel Winner tee, Motel Black and White New Check Jordans (gifted from Motel) ((Currently in the sale for a bargain Β£20, but not for much longer!), Pink Docs c/o Sarenza.

My Nan loved my Motel Jordan jeans, both pairs and for that reason wearing them actually brings about some comfort. My Nan had a real eye for fashion and knew my tastes exactly. I remember afternoons spent poring over the latest issue of Vogue and picking out what we’d buy if we had the money…and the times I’d pop round and she’d have bookmarked a page in a magazine and tell me she’d ordered a dress she’d seen that she knew I’d love (and she was always right).
I still have a bit of an aversion to me in skinny trousers, but I’m slowly getting over it with the help of finally finding flattering (well, ish) and comfortable denim. We all have our insecurities and mine is my legs.

Back to work after the long weekend; my new hours mean I work a half day Mon-Thursday and then a full day on Friday, which is much better than the hit and miss overtime rota of before where one week I’d barely work and the next I’d do three full days in a row. That said, I’m finding it hard right now, one supposes it is part of the grieving process but there are very few people I can stand to be around, and unfortunately I find myself losing my cool in social situations…but I’ll get there. We’ll get there. I’m blessed with a close knit and supportive family, as well as the most amazing circle of friends and we’re all pulling together to help each other along through this difficult time.

Enough of that though…

How was your bank holiday?

I think things will be hard for you for a while but I think you’re doing really well. In time you will think of all those amazing memories you have and smile because you treasure them rather than feeling sad, but it really does take time. Hugs. X
