birds and bees

The second I saw this Dorothy Perkins on Char I wanted it! When she mentioned it was a bargain sale purchase I didn’t hold out an awful lot of hope, but a few clicks later and it was en route to me. At under a tenner (thanks DP for your NHS discount) this is one of those dresses that can be worn for work and play depending on what accessories/shoes etc you put with it. Yesterday afternoon was most certainly play and I wore it with lilac tights from Amazon and some Next ballet flats; I love my heels but sometimes a girl needs comfort!

Everything seems quite literally brighter now the sun has made itself known, although I have the start of a summer cold, of course!
I’m looking forward to clocking off work around 5:30 and letting the weekend begin.

What are your weekend plans?

  16. Laura you look lovely and this print is gorgeous. Completely appropriate for this time of year too. I’m glad the sun’s come out where you are, I’m hoping it makes itself known here in MK soon too! Also I love the fact you used to read Grimms’ Fairytales with your Grandparents, that’s lovely. Nothing like a good book to wile away the afternoon. Take care sweetie! xxx

If you are going to troll, at least check your grammar. You are lacking the possessive apostrophe: children’s.

Laura, you must be the most attractive and feminine drag queen I’ve ever seen and what’s wrong with children’s clothes anyway? πŸ˜‰

    Hi Lovely,

Please ignore the horrid comments. You are so brave and you are so true to yourself even during hard times. Keep going and stay strong. Don’t let these awful comments stop you from being you.

    Much Love

When I said what I said, I was being tongue in cheek about the anonymous comment… hope you all understood that. Laura is so far from what they said it is laughable. I hope no-one read my comment as critical :$

Anon – Your vocabulary really is a wonderful indicator of your IQ! I didn’t think people in this day and age could be so poorly educated and i would highly recommend you consider filing a lawsuit with those who were responsible for your education because they’ve really let you down – no wonder you’re so bitter, i can totally understand where all your anger stems from because i’d be pretty furious too!

One word of advice though – taking this (completely justified) anger out on someone who has been more fortunate with their education and upbringing won’t help – be angry with the right people – your teachers, your peers and your parents for failing you. At the very least manners and empathy should be a given – you’ve really been dealt dreadful cards, express that anger with those who have failed you.

Good luck – if you need the name and number of an excellent preschool tutor i can help – they deal with simple spelling, grammar and personality development as well as dealing perfectly with those tantrums and misplaced aggression of yours. x
