It’s been a funny week. A really funny week. My thoughts are with Norway, the friends and family of Amy Winehouse and the family and anyone who knew Kerri; a friend who passed away recently.
Here are some of this week’s highlights…
– Seeing my two bestest friends, Becca and Trudi.
– Not having to work and finally catching up with myself.
– Epic, long awaited shopping trip with Trudi, in Bath, one of my favourite places.
– My family. Enough said.
– Being alive.
I am also thankful for Gin in a Tin, new makeup and brightly coloured parcels in the post.
The Shit List this week goes to…
-The weather…gone were my chances of a week in the garden, although this weekend has gone some way to appease that and I am off to the seaside today.
– Having to face up to a few harsh truths.
– The shops being full of the scrag ends of sale stock/Autumn clothes and not much that is suitable for now.
– It’s still a week to payday.
– Aforementioned tragedies and the attitudes of people in general.
– Being booted out of bed on a Sunday morning by a cat with serious wind issues AND muddy paws.

I know what you mean terrible things happening in the news and some people are just so vile they have no sympathy.
No one deserves to die so young as did Amy..such a shame.

Things will indeed get better. Sorry it’s been a week of lows as much as highs, these things are sent to try us, but personally I reckon being tested is over rated.

I’m bored of the shops at the moment too. All the sale stuff is either horrible or still really expensive (haven’t been paid yet either) and the new stuff isn’t tempting me much either. Might just buy shoes instead.

I’m really sad about Amy Winehouse, it makes you realise how precious and short life can be.
Enjoy visiting the seaside, the sea breeze and delightful sights of candy coloured rock and the smell of fish and chips never fails to amaze me xxx

Its been a funny few days hasn’t it? The happenings in Norway just totally shocked me and while Amy Winehouse passing away wasn’t a total shock its incredibly tragic.
I hope the sea air blows away some of your worries xx

I too was greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Amy Winehouse yesterday, and am also very sorry to hear of the loss of your friend Kerri.
Your cat having serious wind issues made me laugh. Thank you – I needed that. I’m glad you’re alive too, and enjoy your posts even if I don’t leave comments all the time.
Positive mental attitue, always good to see that you’re keeping a positive out look on life when things might not always run a smooth course.

This week hasn’t been the best news wide as it. slightly been putting the news hacking into perspective a little too. at least the suns been out a little today!
Gin in a tin! Sounds great, don’t think I’ve ever tried G&T though, oops!
I’m generally not a big fan of gin but ‘Gin in a Tin’ has such a great rhyme to it doesn’t it? x
A G&T looks like the perfect medicine. Its hard when we get faced with a week when nothing goes right and everything seems so crap. Hopefully a trip to the seaside will ease your mind a bit, it always does wonders for relaxing me.
I hope things look better for you this week, I am off to Exmouth to the seaside so I’m hoping it looks up for me too 🙂

It’s horrid when we have a limited time to do nice things in and it doesn’t go according to plan. But you seem to have put a positive spin on it, what with the seaside and all! U|RGH, cats with wind- yep, I’ve experienced that-it’s like they’re smirking at you once they’ve done the deed!
