December always feels like such a hopeful month. You can’t ignore the fact that there is a feeling of excitement in the air; it’s catching. I am, for some reason, even more excited for Christmas this year…in previous years, working in a supermarket kind of killed any enthusiasm I might have, but this year, in my proper job, which I adore…there is a buzz and I’ve caught it.
Yesterday was lovely, a proper shopping spree with my Mum. The satisfaction of buying the penultimate Christmas present (and knowing what the last one will be), and spending money that you’ve saved since the Summer on treats for yourself. Highlights of the haul included a couple of pieces from MAC’s holiday collection, a tin of mini gingerbread men, a double sized lucky charms cereal bar, a lbd in H&M and a wellbeing journal (fitting, for where I am now) and pink glittery penguin in Paperchase.
And then, I came home and discovered the arrival of my Sarenza prize haul. It was like a November Christmas, I swear! I’m in love with everything and cannot thank the girls at Sarenza enough for their amazing service in chasing up the courier and just being all round lovely. Of course, there will be a shoe haul post in the near future. For now…a teaser (and gratuitous shot of my new slippers, a gift from my Mum…they come from Next, for anyone desperate for a pair!)

I love December it’s my favourite month. I love catching up with friends and family and anything to give a gift. I love giving presents to people probably more than receiving them.

I know what you mean. I work in Morrisons amd having to do loads of extra hours and work Christmas eve means I don’t feel I have time to be excited till its Christmas day. I still love Christmas but can’t wait till I can qualify and get my ‘proper’ job hehe
