The Vape Stick itself is quite sleek looking but not as subtle as I might have hoped. It’s fine to use at home but I’m a bit hesitant to use it in public. To combat this I need to make sure I buy no cigarettes so I can’t have a crafty one whilst walking home from work, or get braver at using the Vape Stick. At home it’s been brilliant. Currently I am still smoking regular cigarettes too but the number of these has dropped and I am ready to reduce this further.
I’m not advocating “vape-ing” as something cool to do, or for a non-smoker to pick up but I can see how it might be the strategy I need to quit the cigarettes and the wean off of the nicotine addiction. For me, I find the hand to mouth action and the inhalation the most addictive part of smoking so being able to have a nicotine free alternative appeals hugely.
Has anyone else successfully quit with one of these? I’d love to know.
I smoked 40 a day; had done so for around 30 years. Have been vaping now for 19 months.
I just stopped putting cigarettes in my mouth and lighting them. One after another…
I kicked the habit over a year a go and it was the best decision I ever made. I took to vaping as a way of stopping smoking and it helps tremendously as you start with a nicotine strength similar to what you are currently smoking and slowly work your way down to 0%. The flavours available are delish and it definitely turns you away from ‘fag breath’. Starting somewhere small with a vape stick is great, but to really achieve not turning back to the cigarettes, I’d recommend getting something with a much longer battery life – for instance I use a Mod Box and always have one battery charging, one in my handbag spare and one in use in my Mod Box. Vaping is much cheaper than smoking too, I have saved myself a small fortune (although I don’t know where I found the money to begin with) and even more so by building my own coils. I found Totally Wicked as a great place to start but building a rapour with your local e-cig shop will help you a lot. Good luck! X
I.hope it does help you to break the habit!!!x
Good luck with quitting, I really hope you’re able to! Plus think of all the extra cash you’ll have to spend on shoes 😉 x

Good luck! I always never had a problem using it in pubic. Loads of people do it, just go for it!

Good luck , I’ve heard good things about these.
I gave up when my lifestyle changed. I used to smoke when I was out with friends, eventually, one – by – one they all quit and we started socialising less frequently.
Also, at work we had to go out to a grotty shed, come the winter months it seemed far less appealing. So I started doing the things that I associated with smoking less and less and it became easier, until one day I just didn’t think about it anymore.
Good luck, I hope it works for you! 🙂
Id love to know how you get on with this! Not many people know I smoke myself (especially being a health blogger, shshshshshs)….Im hoping to give up this summer myself, mainly to save my poor teeth and Ive been wanting to switch to some kind of Vape or e-cig!
I think it’s so admirable you’ve always been so open and honest about smoking on your blog lovely lady, and even more admirable you’re showing so much strength and fight in giving up. I know you can do it! The Vape Kit sounds pretty good, especially so as you can wean yourself down as you go along <3
Stay strong, proud of you 😀
