Pouring rain and chilly temperatures (well, it is a bank holiday) has meant a return to jumper dresses. So no outfit post today. Instead I thought I’d share my current makeup loves as I love nosing through what other people are using and loving right now.
Blushers! No, I don’t wear them all at once, but I do tend to wear a different one each day depending on what mood I’m in/how deathly pale I look! I can’t remember the shades of them all, but if you want to know I will go seek!
General face/eyes! I’m quite simple. Witch primer keeps my skin tamed. Barbara Daly for Tesco foundation, of which I have a love/hate relationship with. Love that it’s pale enough for my skin and affordable, hate the smell and coverage. Rimmel powder. MAC Phloof and custom palette that is begging to be filled. L’Oreal Lash Architech 4D Mascara. I only bought the Mascara Saturday, after ignoring all twitter advice and getting distracted by a shiney silver tube and special offer price.
Sometimes impulse buys are good. I’m pleased.

Oh..and this is what lives in my palette; stars n rockets, aquadisiac, fade. I love how having a fringe has led to a return in bolder eye makeup!

Love the blushers 🙂 I use Prestige Skin Loving Mineral powder foundation in Natural or use Fair when I’m feeling really pale. It’s got good coverage but is light on my skin, plus it lasts for ages! 😀 xx

Good score on the mascara! I love it when impulse buys turn out great:) I also have the same dilemma with super fair skin, and I have yet to find a product that works for me; I’ll probably check back here to see what others recommend:D xx

I’m super-fair and a blusher junky. I’m loving Bare Escentuals at the moment – I’ve never found anything that gets on with my sensitive skin as well. I’m loving the eyes – maybe I’ll be more experimental with eye make up when my fringe returns tomorrow!

I’m a super pale redhead under the pink dye and find Lily Lollo’s palest foundation powder (I think it’s called ‘Porcelain’) works brilliantly for me. 🙂
Everything else I use comes from MAC.

Revlon colourstay in ivory is pale. It would be the perfect shade for me if it had the right undertone. There’s also a Barry M pure white foundation which is apparently great for mixing with too-dark foundations.
Pretty eyes ! 😀 .. I am a sucker for pink blusher and black eye liner and sometimes some lipstick..that is about all I use!
I agree with the lady above who suggested Lily Lolo foundation. I usually use the palest shade in everything, but their Porcelain one was actually too pale for me so I use the next lightest shade, called Blondie.
That mascara looks fab, will have to check it out next time I’m shopping!

Perfect mascara with just one coat- brill! I bought a new cheap mascara the other day because I thought I had lost my benefit one and it’s one of those triple coat mascaras 🙁 what a waste of money

I have patchy skin, so makeup is a challenge for me! Love nosing through what other use. I love a bold eyeshadow!
I have very pale skin and my acne has flared up badly over the past year so I have had to return to foundation. I use L’oreal matte morphose in rosy ivory as a base coat. I feels amazing to put on although the colour is still a bit dark on me. I cover it up with L’oreal “Feel naturale” in soft ivory which is a good colour on me. I then use Rimmel stay matte pressed powder on top. I work in a pretty hot environment and my make-up is still intact when I return home 🙂
Forgot to say, absolutely love the colours of your eyeshadow palette!

Loved reading these reviews. I use the Rimmel powder. I’ve found it suits my skin tone and gives better coverage far and away above the more expensive stuff I’ve tried. I love it when that happens 🙂
I can’t recall if they have cover girl in the UK or not…. But they have some great ones for pale skin! I recently got Laura Mercier’s oil free tinted moisturizer, and I’ve been very happy with that too on my pale skin, though it’s a bit expensive… Haha
I’m super pale as well, and the foundation I will use FOREVER is MAC’s mineralize foundation or something like that in shade NC15. It’s PERFECT! Medium coverage, very natural feel and look, and makes skin look less tired and smooth. 🙂 Your eye make up looks great! xxx
