Just a quick outfit post today whilst I have the chance. There isn’t any real reason why having my Dad home affects my posting other than it is a lot more difficult to get photos when someone who doesn’t really “get” it is around in the house! Anyway, he is out at a meeting today so I took the oppurtunity.
This dress is a couple of years old now and I think I’ve worn it all of twice. I didn’t buy it with the intention of it being day wear, but it deserves to be worn so I’m rocking it regardless.
The indoor photos aren’t the greatest, tempermental camera this morning. I got Mum to snap the garden one as it shows the colour contrast on the dress a bit better.
I’m off for a morning out with Mum shortly, followed by a course work filled afternoon…I’m almost half way through now and this week is my final push to get the first module submitted (gotta love self imposed deadlines eh?)
I also intend to do some baking this week; cheese scones and a cake of some kind though I am yet to decide what flavour.
What have you been up to?

Lovely dress!
I’ve not been up to much, same old same old really!
Love the dress, who says it’s not daywear lol π my clothes never get that distinction..
Have a lovely trip out with your Mum xx
Beautiful dress… you should do more outdoor shoots. Have a great day! xoxo
The dress is nice. Keep going.. you seem have a busy week.

Besitos fashionistas!!!!
Woman, I would love to rummage through your wardrobe. I love it all! And this combo of boots, tights and that gorge dress is just killller.

LOVED the dress. You have a really unique sense of fashion you know. π
I don’t know, I’ll go to Germany but for these days I have to prepare for my b-friend’s party!
xo
I love how you pull off boots so well.
I still LOVE those boots and the dress is so cute, you should wear it more often x
Beautiful dress, Daisy. I’m loving your boots too.
I think the dress works really well as daywear. Love the garden shot you should do it more often! xx
That dress is really pretty – definitely deserves to be worn a bit more often!
I get what you mean about it being harder to take photos when your Dad’s around – no one in my house knows about my blog (or probably even what one is!), so they’d be rather confused catching me taking photos of my bag, for example!

I totally understand how tough it is to get it going with someone who doesn’t quite understand what on earth you are doing and for what.
By the way, that’s a lovely dress. Can’t believe its a couple years old.
Hello hello!
What an adorable dress! Love it with those boots, you’re very cute in that outfit! And your garden in wonderful
Hmm, I’m gonna listen to your rule and self impose some deadlines.Time is running and i have almost no work done, beeing ill so many times lately* Good luck for your work and i’m curioys about the baking you’re gonna do!
Very pretty dress Laura. And nom nom to cheese scones. x
Oh so pretty!
Well since you asked, I have been exercising and trying different diets lately to get stinkin’ thin again. Hah. π
Your figure reminds me of Audrey Hepburn (the figure I’ve always wished to have…..) Lucky girl!
Much love & xoxo,
Emily
That dress is really nice, pairing it with boots makes it look nice and casual for daytime. And I like the change of scenery – you should do more outside shots if you get the chance!

Laura
Pretty! I love your boots!
Ha! (to your comment) I’d so wreck that. Maybe it’s me but I found that hilarious.
You know it’s funny: I have trouble posting when my husband is around. Even commenting… like now, he’s asking questions. It’s just hard to get into the Zone.
Love that look: love lace and dresses with black riding type boots! I have these black plain riding boots that I wear all the time, love them with dresses.
So glad it’s finally getting milder.. for fashion and all other reasons. I love spring!! xox
Lovely, as usual.
Thanks so much for your compliment…you’re so very sweet!
The dress is lovely and even though the outfit is all black, it looks so light and airy! I love the boots…where’d you get them?
Cheese scones?!!? That sounds amazing. I’ve never had one. I also need to try these hobknob creations….
xoxo,
Ms. Seberg
I love that dress. It is gorgeous! Great pics!
what a darling lace dress. adorable on you.
The lace dress is pretty and I like the boots too. Your baking plans sound scrumptious. Don’t you just love spring? It’s my favorite season, but it’s raining at the moment and I’ve probably been blogging too much and neglecting my chores. Enjoyed seeing your pics.
ooooolala! I love those boots, and cool dress, I can’t believe you have only worn it twice. lol!
-xo
Thanks for the comment – pretty isn’t it!? They also have it in cream & a blush pink, which are lovely – for only Β£7 you can’t go wrong!

im so in love with lace right now.. its the perfect amount of risqueness π
The dress definitely works as daywear. Supremely pretty!
Is it bad that after looking at your garden photo my eyes then auto-gravitated to the stone Buddha in the background? π
Loved the outside pic!!!
The dress certainly does ROCK!!!
Hope your coursework is going well!
Claire xx
cute dress! Had yesterday off looked at a wedding venue π back to work today. x
The lace dress looks great. The detailing at the front looks really good.
The dress is loveely, the pattern keeps it interesting. You should do more outdoor shots π
i know what you mean .. none of my parents could really get what i do with my blog . so they dont really pay attention to my pics and then they mess them up and then its pointless.
that said .. i really like this dress. i like the dress details and the pretty big buttons ..
is it vintage ?
What lovely lace for this fine spring day! Can’t wait to see your scones.
Thanks hun and I love the backyard here. So green π

I love the dress!
reading about your self-imposed deadline reminds me that I have a few projects I need to finish myself. I procrastinate too much!
Love the dress and love the boots. No worries if dad doesn’t ‘get it’. If he ever questions it, you could always quip up a clever response about at least keeping your clothes on for internet uploads. ha ha ha. Seriously, in my quest for fun fashion photos I actually had to change my computer settings to safe mode because even the most innocent of words would pull up a whole slew of naked horror during my searches π
Gorgeous dress. Dad’s can be out of the loop somewhat! Please bake a Victoria Sponge and I will come and have tea with you x
Nice dress! Good luck with the deadline Laura, I know all too well what’s that like. Looking good as always. xxx
thanks honey ;O) i love your dress!!!!!Kissssss
Looking gorgeous!!! π
Award on my blog π
Thanks for the comment!! xox
i know what you mean – i can’t get in my bloggy mode if others are around! lol .. you look fabulous! i love a good black dress with nice detailing!
I love any type of lace and this includes your lovely dress! I understand about it being weird taking pictures around people who don’t get it. I normally take pictures when no one else is home or my mom will occasionally take them for me when we’re out.
xoxo

i go weak for lace dresses. especially ones in black! π as for self-imposed deadlines.. i have a love/hate relationship with it. but i do like the feeling once i manage to finish it on time.. g’luck with your coursework dear!!
xx

Such a pretty dress, Laura.
Carole
such a pretty lace dress! You should get a tripod and take photos outside, thats what I do to avoid prying parental eyes (also the lighting in my house REALLY pisses me off)
-indigo
Such a cute dress! And I like it with those boots
Lovely dress, love the lace!
And what a cute garden I love the little buddha in the background (I think its a buddha anyway :P)
