Alternative shoe of the week: La Paire

I’m taking a quick week off my Sarenza shoe of the week (not that there isn’t a LOT on there I could feature) to introduce you to Spanish sensation La Paire a new shoe brand that specialises in handmade Spanish leather sandals. The ethos behind the label is simple; elegant shoes made from the finest leathers in a selection of vibrant shades and eye catching styles.

La Paire was born as a result of founder Amy La’s own quest for comfortable yet stylish leather sandals. Driven by her frustration and inability to find quality, affordable and colourful styles, Amy decided to create her own shoe label.   The label not only reflects Amy’s passion for beautiful and bold shoes but also superior craftsmanship.
Not only are the shoes super comfortable, they are affordable, light and easy to pack and wear.

You might think it a little un-seasonable and I would half agree, but with the highstreet launching their S/S ranges here there and everywhere and with the possibility that at least some of you are jetting off for some winter sun I thought it worth posting!
As you can see I was sent a pair to review although I have only been able to try the left shoe on so there aren’t any “modelled” photos. From what I HAVE tried though I can tell you that these are beautiful, comfortable and so very worth the price tag (between £80 and £90 depending on the style). I fell in love with Spain over the summer and was delighted to try something so utterly Spanish. These will be coming with me on next year’s adventure and no doubt worn to death.

I’m a big fan of these shoes and will be eagerly anticipating more to come from the brand, I love finding out about smaller labels and supporting them where possible and with a range of three styles in bold, bright colours, handmade in Spain I think there are big things to come from La Paire.

What do you think? Next on my wishlist is the Praia Rainbow pair and I’d love to see some ballet flats or even heeled sandals pop in to the range.

Now, make me jealous, those of you with winter breaks planned; where are you off to?
