Something a little bit different for my jewellery wish list today- it’s probably quite clear from the picture above that I’m a fan of ear piercings and therefore earrings. Whilst it’s simple to find a huge array of studs, hoops and chandeliers for your standard lobe piercings it’s much, much harder to find unique adornments for places like the rook and tragus.
For a while now I’ve been browsing Body Jewellery Shop and it was mere coincidence that they e-mailed me asking if I’d like to blog about them as I had been browsing only an hour or so beforehand.
They were kind enough to send me a couple of little gifts, my star tragus stud came c/o them as well as the most delicate silver hummingbird and some nose studs. The website is vast, stocking everything from your standard lobe piercing through to flesh plugs and tunnels (as well as some places I’d rather not think about piercing)
I’m in my element browsing this site, seriously. Everything is so well organised, either by piercing site or by material. This was really handy when shopping for something for my Mum- she’s allergic to most things other than titanium and BioFlex or PTFE jewellery so it was fantastic to be able to narrow things down straight away as well as get some information about the materials.
Piercings may not be for everyone, my Grandad for one gives me the silent treatment whenever I present with a new hole but for me, well, I love them on ears at least. I’ll probably stop now. My rook piercing was the most painful I’ve had and I’m running out of room, but never say never. I’ll just have fun stocking up on jewellery for the piercings I do have…and at Body Jewellery Shop’s prices I don’t need to hold back!

Been toying with getting my tragus done for a good few years – I got three in each ear plus my cartilidge when I was a teenager, but now my late twenties has arrived I feel it’s time to have another piercing. Anything other than gold makes my ears swell up though, which seriously limits my options 🙁
I have both tragus (tragi?) done as well as rook and conch. Conch was the most painful with rook coming in a close second. Both of them took ages to heel too.
I used to have a sternum surface piercing but it grew out so I have a scar. I forget about it but when I wear low cut tops people must wonder if I’ve had heart surgery or something.
I have 14 piercings and all of my jewellery is from bodyjewelleryshop.com bar my lobe earrings 🙂 Love that site, it’s just perfect. Your piercings are lovely, I really want more in my ears – considering a rook! x
I’m remarkably squeamish about piercings and so have only ever managed having my ears pierced once (and one ear has healed over through lack of use). Yours really suit you. I do sometimes think I might get that one side re-pierced so I could actually wear a pair of earrings!
Your earrings look really pretty (: I’ve only got my three ear piercings.. want to be more innovative!

i had no idea you had so many piercings! i have three in each ear but i forget to wear earrings so they’re probably closed up now tbh….i did used to want a tragus piercing but was put off by how much it’s meant to hurt :p x
