I’m having a bit of a love-fest for all things skater at the moment and this Tall Skater Dress from New Look isn’t helping. At £12.99 it was too much of a bargain to resist, and like the skirt I picked up a couple of weeks ago the added bit of length stops me flashing my knickers to all and sundry.
I always feel quite girly in skater style skirts and dresses, I love the way they nip in at the waist and then flare out, they seem to cover a multitude of sins and go with just about everything. I wore mine with some Betsy Johnson floral tights and those trusty boots that are only a week old but already a firm favourite. For a bit of glitz I added my sparkly rabbit necklace from Wolf & Moon…I’m finally remembering to actually put jewellery on!
How is it already Thursday? WHERE is my week off going? It’s been lovely, if not somewhat limited but some down time with Mum has been very much appreciated. Another low key day today, I need to rest that foot of mine ready to hit Cabot Circus tomorrow for some serious shopping! I might take the tinsel off the crutches though (oh yes, I went there) and reserve that for the work Christmas party and Blogger meet up next weekend; although there is an outside chance I might not need them by then- fingers crossed pleased!

I’m addicted to skater skirts at the moment too 🙂 The dress suits you so much I love the colour! I tried a similar one on in newlook but the collar and arms just didn’t fit me right at all 🙁

I adore skater dresses too- they suit my shape too! You look really really pretty here- nicest outfit I’ve seen in ages, really gorgeous! I also recognised the WOlf and moon necklace as soon as I saw that first picture- even though it’s quite hard to see!

i had a black dress like this from DP, i only wore it a couple of times and i went to put it on the other day and the arms are really tight! just listed it on ebay! shame cos i loved it!
Wow that is a stunning dress, I often forget what great stuff New Look gets in. Your whole outfit looks fab…must say those boots are super smart. I have to say I love Last Christmas by Wham!. Ooh I’ll need to look out for that dress for my daughter, she’ll love it! It is such a classic pretty shape and you look lovely in it. I always forget to put jewellery on too, I’ve got loads of junk jewellery but wear the same bits day in day out. xx

Its a lovely colour and I like the length of the sleeves, it gives you a great silhouette. I can say though that, sadly, I’m definitely too old for a skater dress 🙁
I’ve been playing Chrisas tunes, March of the Cavalry by Jona somebody is my all time favourite, it reminds me of my Dad 🙂

That dress looks amazing on you and I really love the tights with it. Interested to hear that skater style dresses are good for most body shapes, I had always assumed they wouldn’t suit me but perhaps I ought to give them a try.
