sod it

Topshop (tall) trousers, Primark top, Timeless shoes c/o Sarenza.

Every so often I just can’t be bothered to think of what to wear and resort to the “old me” of several years ago and my uniform of trousers and some kind of top.
I never feel 100% comfortable when wearing this kind of outfit, it reminds me of a time where I didn’t know what a hair brush was and my idea of a fashionable top consisted of it having a cartoon cat on the front….
but sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures, and actually, these trousers are growing on me.

What does your “sod it” outfit look like?

TGIF!

  1. Loving these trousers, they look fab.

My sod it out fit for work is often a dress as they are easy to wear but for home it has to be jeans.

  2. I’m the same as Trayci, definitely jeans. I very rarely go out in a pair of jeans now. Two years ago it was all I wore.

  3. You look so cool! very stylish 😉

  4. My sod it outfit is a pair of jeans and a breton. Can’t go wrong that way (hopefully!)
I think you look lovely though! These trousers are great xxx

  5. jeans and a jumper all the way for me! x

  6. Jeans, trainers and a t-shirt! Or pyjamas if I’m at home.

    i like em, elegant trews

  9. Those trousers have a great 1940s look to them that definitely doesn’t say ‘sod it’!
My can’t think outfit is probably a non-fitted shift dress, with tights and chelsea boots. That way I can choose whether to add a belt and dress it up slightly or whether to just stay simple and comfortable.

  10. I think you look rather fabulous in these trousers! They’re very chic.

On those kind of days I grab a plain cosy vintage dress and some tights with comfy flat shoes, the latter to be honest really need replacing!

  11. I love this on you, I wish I looked as good when I just said sod it! I tend to revert to a floral dress and flats…

  12. My ‘sod it’ outfit is usually jeans, as I normally avoid them!

I really love this outfit on you. It’s different, it’s stylish and the shapes suit you. For a ‘sod it’ outfit this is definitely a big winner!

  13. What do you mean a top with a cartoon cat on isn’t fashionable? =P (I jest, though that really is as fashionable as I get ^.^;;)

My sod it outfit is pretty much my everyday wardrobe – jeans and a teeshirt. Or PJs if I’m not going out.

LOL why hold your arms in so tight and then squeeze your hands, ohhh to make your arms look thinner!

  15. I love these trousers on you, I think they suit you so well. You look great in a variety of styles and I don’t think everyone has that ability. I love your description of what you used to think was fashionble because I was very similar.

  16. My sod it outfit is either jeans and a simple, loose fit boyfriend jumper but since I chucked the last of my very bobbled jumpers out and jeans take forever to dry out I’m currently donning H&M leggings (read almost jeggings) and my Hero & Cape tee with flats. Sod it indeed!

I love those trousers personally, but I know what you mean about outfits taking you back. My jeans/jumper combo takes me back to my final year undergrad, a time of hiding, isolation and trying not to be noticed.

  17. I think you look really cool, and I know the exact feeling of cartoon cat tops – I need a wardrobe overhaul! Happy Friday! xxx

  18. If I went to work in my ‘sod it’ outfit I’d probably show up in my pj’s or joggers and an old hoodie! Your outfit looks great, those trousers look so stylish, they remind me of Diane Keaton in ‘Annie Hall’ 🙂

  19. Well, I think you look charming!
My sod it outfit is a wide-legged loose pair of trousers and a t-shirt and cardie!

  20. I absolutely love your ‘sod it’ outfit! These trousers look amazing on you x

  21. You know what? I love this outfit. When I say ‘sod it’ you’ll find me wearing battered jeans, chucks and a plain t-shirt, normally with my hair pulled up into a messy bun.

  22. Ooh gorgeous trousers! 🙂

  23. This is no way your sod it look! I wish my sod it look was that fashionable. My sod it look includes pjs (mostly with paint splattered all over them), messy hair, no make up and a hoody. That’s pretty much me most days at the moment though haha!
PS, I refuse to believe tops with cats on the front are anything but the height of fashion! xx
