The Long and Short of It

I finally got my hands on some dungarees! They are probably one of those items that people either love or hate, but for me it’s pure love and I have always been drawn to them. I wore this outfit last Sunday for a day of really not doing much at all, which is exactly what Sunday was invented for, right?

Tee: e-bay | Dungarees c/o Long Tall Sally | Sandals c/o Sarenza

It’s a shame it wasn’t a sunnier day as the photos were a bit hurried due to impending rain and a cool breeze, hard to believe it’s June and nearly officially Summer!
I love this Batman vest that I bought on e-bay last year for around three quid. I didn’t expect it to last one wash, but despite multiple wearings it has survived to last another year and it seemed like an excellent pairing with these dungarees, which fit like a dream thanks to the extra leg and body room that Long Tall Sally offer! They are a really lovely quality denim too, thick but soft so they are extra comfortable. I’ll be wearing these in some form or another all year round.
I’ve really been enjoying the trend for holographic shoes so the second I saw these ones on Sarenza last month I popped them in my basket. I always struggle with Summer shoes as they never seem wide enough for my monster feet…boots and trainers are so much easier to squish in to! These are a great fit though and despite being quite a statement will go with so much.
What’s your stance on dungarees?

You look great but I don’t think they would suit me

  4. i LOVE dungarees, when I was a kid I had a pair of dragon ones which are basically my favourite outfit of all time, but these days I don’t have the shape for them so I try to avoid them which is a shame 🙁

  5. love so much your denim jumpsuit!!

  6. I can’t decide on dungarees yet, I think they would have to be slim leg ones like yours so I didn’t feel too much like a child in the ’80’s. Because you are tall, they look so good on you 🙂

  7. I was pleasantly surprised to scroll down and see these are full length trouser dungarees – they look gorgeous on you! Dungarees are something I could never pull off at this stage of my life, but that I think look fab on other people 🙂 I actually really love your sandals too, the holographic design is more subtle on these with the skinny straps which I like! xxx

I’m definitely pro dungaree, though I’ve never actually owned a pair myself, even when I was younger. I really want a big baggy pair but I don’t think they would suit me!

  9. I’ve never found any dungarees that are long enough for me. These are long tall Sally though? hmm, hadn’t thought of that! These ones are a great fit on you. My mum found a great pair of dungarees in a charity shop last year that she took to wearing – though she did say she was worried she looked like an ageing toddler!

  10. you are ROCKING the dungareees Laura, looking good my dear! x

  11. For fear of sounding like an old fart, which I might be, I used to live in my dungarees back in the day. So bloody comfy and very stylish. You love ace in them hun.

  12. I love them but I fear I’m too short for them! However, they look fantastic on you!
