Spy Love Buy kindly sent me these wedge heel trainers after I proclaimed my love for them on a wishlist post a couple of weeks ago. When I first saw the trend for heeled trainers I hated it but after seeing more and more people wearing it, and wearing it well I started to covet a pair for myself. The wedge on this pair is subtle; from the outside you can’t really see it, and I doubt whether many people would notice it is there. I like that- you get the added height without standing out too much, and importantly (I can tell I’m getting old) the shoes themselves are really comfortable…tried and tested with a seafront walk.
I wore these for the first time on Sunday with my trust (and cheap) Zara denim skirt and a top from New Look. The fact these are trainers with heels makes me want to push the boundaries a little more and experiment with how I wear them…this is probably the closest I will get to the sports luxe trend that seems to be taking over.
Have you worn the wedge? How would you style them? Give me ideas people…I’m so out of inspiration lately.

I got mine from River Island and I am crazy about it. I already got myself a second pair for winter. My fav look for the wedge trainer is with either a black legging or skinny jeans. It’s just fun to be in heels all day with mo pain at all!
I just got a pair of pale ones from Topshop. I can tell I will wear them to death. Wish I had some dark ones too though!
oh dear, is it bad that these just make me feel old? I remember when I had a pair just like these when the spice girls were wearing them all the time. I do kind of miss my other pair now though lol

I wasn’t sure about this trend either but these ones look great in the dark colours.
I like those, I love my flats but would be nice to elongate my legs a bit, will have to look out for a pair.
