…and relax

Life has been more than a little chaotic lately, probably more so than it has ever been. I’m relishing this of course as it’s the ultimate testament to how far I have come in the last six months but it has left me exhausted and in need of some serious pampering. The idea of a day of pampering and relaxation is more than a tad bit appealing and I’m putting serious consideration in to putting in a request for Spa hotel vouchers from Santa! I actually live not very far from some wonderful Spas, including the very well known one at Bath but before now the idea hasn’t really appealed, or rather not seemed relevant to me, I’ve never craved total relaxation before and never felt like having some in my personal space providing a massage or facial but right now it’s all I can think about and it seems like a fitting reward for my hard work in changing my body for the better (it may help me come to terms with it more, too)

With my Mum’s 50th Birthday looming I’m loving the idea of a Mother/Daughter packaging…you can’t beat a gift with benefits!

Have you ever had a Spa day before? Where have you gone and how did you find it? What do you do when you are in need of some rest and relaxation and have you ever made any treatments at home?

TEACH ME HOW TO RELAX dammit, I am pretty hopeless!

  1. I went to the spa thr first time last April, My friends from Manchester came up to visit me and she took me to the spa, all expenses paid for!! I had half an hour of facial which was amazing, and then a manicure that wasn’t so great.

If i was you definitely go for a facial and a back massage. My friend said it was absolutely amazing!!

I hope you have a fantastic time!! xxx

  2. I’m not good at relaxing at home, there is always too much to be done and I never seem to have enough time. If I actually go somewhere like a spa, with the sole reason of relaxing, I really do benefit from it. Definitely do it! x

  3. A Spa package sounds great, I did that for my mum’s birthday last year and came with of course 🙂 x

  4. I’ve been to the bath one before and absolutely loved it! We didn’t actually get a specific treatment but I would recommend going just for the saunas/steam rooms/pools etc. The views from the rooftop pool are amazing! x

  5. oh im a useless relaxer too… but me and my friend booked a “deal” voucher for a spa day in the xmas hols so i will do my damndest to make sure i de-stress and enjoy it! theres a pool and everything, so it gives me added incentive to eat lots and gain some much needed poundage before i brave the old bikini!

  8. Oh I want a spa package, that sounds AMAZING.

  9. I’ve been to the thermae bath spa and it is AMAZING! I really recommend it. We went for the twilight package that you book on the day and didn’t have any treatments, but all the steam rooms and the steam pool are amazing.

  10. I went on a spa day package for two (bkd through Groupon) for a really low price recently. It was at Fawsley Hall in Northants. A really lovely day at a super bargain price of under £50 each (incl 2 treatments each, light lunch & full use of facilities – including an outside jacuzzi.
I recommend keeping an eye out on Groupon for spa deals in your local area. Treat yourself.

  11. I love Spa days! I went to Oulton Hall a few months ago, where all the footballers go! I have a great over night stay, with a massage and spa treatments. It is so so relaxing I love Spa’s xoxxo

  12. I’ve only ever been once and it was many years ago. But I highly recommend it. I wish I had been more often. It was great and you should definitely do it.

  13. Ooh, I’ve never been to the Bath spa but it does look beautiful – apparently they do late night sessions where the city is lit up – supposed to me amazing. x
