The sound of Matalan’s latest lookbook dropping through my door always fills me with excitement. They are one of those shops that go from strength to strength as seasons pass, providing high fashion pieces at affordable prices.
Pretty much everything in their Autumn Winter collection is something I’d wear, and I’m ready to say “so long” to Summer, such as it was.
Top of my list is the aztec shawl (£10), leopard print chelsea boots (£16) and pretty much the entire outfit in the first photo.
What are you looking forward to from the up-coming season? What trend will you be fully embracing? For me, I just want to work on my out of work style; more casual chic than “through a hedge backwards”. I’m not really loving my look right now and I want to streamline it…a late year resolution perhaps?

Must be nice to not have no responsibilities and be able to spend all your money on yourself at your age. lucky now, probably in for a shock in the future tho.. if you ever leave home.

Urgh at internet trolls. Laura deserves to treat herself to nice things, a) because she’s wonderful and b) because she’s been through a lot and god knows she deserves more kindness in her life, especially from herself.
On the Matalan front… OH NO! I just spent a small fortune there (well, my mum may have aided me in that!) I’m going to be broke. Though I guess I do need some more warm clothes that fit and less vest tops…
LOL! In an ideal world thats a great way to look at things but seriously, grow up! Oooh Lauras wonderful and has been through a lot (who hasnt) so she deserves to not have to learn about the real world, about financial responsibilities and slowly leanring how to become a bit more independent..
She’s LUCKY she can spend all her money on herself and can rely on her parents for everything but shes in for a shock IF she breaks those apron strings.

There are some awesome pieces coming in. Our store is so small though that we don’t get everything in. I had to order the wee backpack. I’m loving the studded shoes at mo and the knitwear is ace this year. xxx
