Pink Fridays

Well, here’s my first real foray in to the trend for all things pink. It’s probably the only trend I’ve really taken notice of lately and one that you can’t avoid no matter how hard you try. It’s also my first time wearing super skinny jeans, it’s not the best week for me to make comment on how I feel about those, I’ll leave judgement down to those with better perspective. I’m not sure where this week has gone, one day it was Monday and there was an endless expanse of time to fill, the next minute it’s Friday and I don’t appear to have done anything of value. Next week is my last week off work post-op though and all being well I shall be back on a phased return and actually doing something with my lazy self.

These Miista boots had been on my wishlist for SO long and last month I was finally able to make them mine. Miista is one of my favourite shoe brands ever- such innovative and quirky designs. The top was an impulse buy from New Look, I shouldn’t be shopping at all really but I couldn’t leave this behind and I *do* need more basic tops in my wardrobe. I like how the loose fitting cropped style contrasts with the high waisted, tight fitting jeans and tones in perfectly with the colours in the boots. The jeans themselves I love, acid wash is one of my favourite looks for denim. Like I said at the start of the post, this hasn’t been the greatest week for body image so I reserve judgement on how I look in this outfit, but I love all of the elements of it in general.

    You look great with your casual look. I am pleased that you are persevering with jeans/trousers. They really do suit you. I am now used to wearing trousers and wish I started wearing them years ago as they are so comfortable but I have not yet bought any denim jeans. I expect I will quite soon!

    You look gorgeous Laura – I love this look on you! And don’t worry about how you look in skinny jeans, you look amazing 🙂 pink definitely suits you, this shade is so pretty. I’m such a wimp when it comes to colour, I want to embrace the pink trend but I’m not sure how yet. I’m lucky because my jacket is pink and black, it was a happy accident in TK Maxx when I tried it on because it was Maison Scotch and fell in love with the subtle and somehow girly biker style (and even the pink!). Your boots are pretty amazing, I’m glad you’ve finally got your hands on them! It’s always super satisfying when you’ve been waiting so long for something. I hope your return to work goes smoothly lovely lady, glad to hear that you’ve recovered nicely xxx
