Snacking Saturday: Nims Fruit Crisps

I might be better known for my tweets about sweets and biscuits, but I do have a healthy eating side to me too and when the folks at Nim’s offered to send me some of their range of fruit crisps I was pretty darn excited.

• Nim’s are a unique range of innovative, delicious, crispy snacks. They are not to be confused with dried fruit, freeze-dried fruit or chewy baked fruit
• Nim’s are made from only the freshest fruit with no additives or preservatives of any kind. They are simply sliced and dried into delicious, crunchy crisps to enhance their natural flavour
• Each 22g – 24g bag of Nim’s has only 62 – 78 calories
• Nim’s are so healthy each bag counts as one of your five a day!
• Nim’s are thinner, which gives them a different texture and better flavour
• Nim’s have a large variety – kiwi, strawberry, melon, orange, pineapple, mango & pear and many more are being trialled all the time
• Each bag of Nim’s has 2 different fruits, carefully balanced to complement each other
• All fruits in Nim’s (except pineapple) have skin, core and pips left in, making them a far more wholesome and natural product
• Nim’s are high in fibre, high in Vitamin C, fat and gluten free and are suitable for vegans, vegetarians and coeliacs. They can be eaten anytime and anywhere!
• Nim’s are packed in transparent bags so you can see for yourself how beautiful they are!

I was sent four flavours; the three you can see above plus the Melon and Orange variety. On the whole I LOVED these. The Melon and Orange I couldn’t handle, my sweet too likes sweet, which the Orange wasn’t (apparently these are the darkest dark chocolate of the fruit snack world!)
Pineapple and Mango were my overall favourite, two of my favourite fruits in portable snacking form? SOLD!

You can buy Nim’s products direct from the website or search for a local stockist. If you are looking for an alternative snack for work, or fancy trying something new/going on a health drive then give these a shot! Marvelously more-ish it’s just as well these are so good for you….
those three bags at the top of this post lasted me less than three hours. Oops.

Have you tried these? What did you think?

  1. These look delicious! I love dried fruit, and I like how thin these look, I bet the texture is much better than the thicker stuff.

  2. I love having fruit like this but it is almost worse than having sweets in the house because they would be gone in such a short time! I think because it is healthy I feel I can just munch away… :/

  3. I hadn’t heard of these before, definitely worth trying to find a local stockist.

  4. I need to start snacking more healthily. Dried mango is my favourite dried fruit. 🙂 xo

  5. I second dried Mango!
    XOXO

  6. I haven’t seen these before, but I love apple crisps! So yum!

  7. I’ve tried this brand too and think they’re great! Love taking the dried fruit on the go. Great snack. 🙂

These things should be doused in lavender oil and used as pot porri.

IN fact surely I can call trade and standards – there is nothing crispy about them.

Chewy, still with the skin and core on and frankly revolting.

They are disgusting, soft chewy and stale tasting. Furthermore i found a very curly black short hair in my bag, nearly made me vomit.

    Never again!
