Snacking Saturday; the accessories

For me, a key element to snacking is what you eat from. I’m a nightmare for crockery; from the cute melamine, to pretty china. I can spend hours looking for a new bowl, plate or the (and this is important) perfectly shaped and sized spoon…

From top to bottom, my current lustings include, but are not limited to…

1. Cath Kidston dessert plates. Despite already owning far too many Cath Kidston plates. I just love the size of these, perfect for everything from toast to cake.

2. RICE Melamine Spoons. I like small spoons. In pretty colours. Fact.

3. Cute little snack pots from dotcomgiftshop. My snack transportation is a source of envy at work. These need to be added to my vast collection. Really.

4 and 5. I am head over heels for the Word range from Keith Brymer Jones, especially the bowl mugs and “eat” side plate. Just fabulous.

6. C’est la vie bowl from Urban Outfitters. I own about twenty bowls, which is so far the only reason I am yet to purchase this. If it ever goes in the sale then I don’t think I’ll be able to hold back!

What do eat from?
Any secret shops to share?
Do you have an ideal spoon?

  6. Gorgeous! I love Cath too though only have mugs, no plates (yet).
I really like Portmerion’s Botantical garden plates and crockery- my Mum loved these and we grew up eating from them- I have most of her plates still and when we went to Portmerion last year, I bought some gorgeous cake plates from their seconds shop!

  7. I have a trip to Cath Kidston planned soon, I’m already craving some new plates and kitchen bits xxx

  17. It’s definitely not a secret but I love Whittards plates etc, they’re so cheerful and not at all cheap-looking. When I came to Uni my Mum bought me some plates and bowls with red poppies on and I’ve topped up since with various different ranges, they don’t go but somehow they do!
The branch in The Galleries is *always* having a sale, which makes me a bit concerned for Whittards’ future (The Galleries isn’t a prime space either) but hopefully they can keep selling London themed tea to tourists!

I LOVE those spoons! And Cath Kidston stuff is always gorgeous, I’ve got four of her bowls. They’re a good size for cereal. I am a massive crockery fiend which proved to be fairly problematic when I moved out of my uni accommodation and back home. Needed so many boxes and bits of newspaper and bubble wrap to safely transport my collection! My collection has also grown since then… oops!

you know what, i don’t even bother. i eat out of my hand, lazy…me? or just whack it on your basic plate. when i have my own place im sure that will change

Especially with coffee cups…it’s just not right drinking out of a bad cup! πŸ™‚ xx

  21. i love stuff like this – the first thing i brought to take to uni was pastel colour cutlery πŸ˜€ x

  22. Aw, I love the deer snack pot!

  23. Love. As a person who spends a fair amount of time taking pictures of her food, pretty dishes are my favorite.

  24. Those spoons! Ahh I die. I definitely think I need those.
I love the simplicity of the Word Range dinery as well. You find the cutest things!

  25. I have a favourite spoon at my Mum’s house and everytime I go round there, no materr what time of day, I have to have a bowl of cereal with my special spoon. One day I’ll just take it back to my flat! xx
