Wore it Pink

Well, hello dodgy lighting; thankfully the change in the clocks meant both an extra hour in bed AND lighter mornings which should make things a little clearer.

Friday was wear it pink 2012 as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month and Mum I embraced the moment by pulling on our pinkness for work in turn for a donation made online (our workplace in general wasn’t taking part, which was a shame!)

I pulled out this bargain H&M skirt (Β£3!) and toned it down a little with a black Primark jumper and my Yull Chelsea boots which my foot has since decided actually really aren’t ok and I had to resort to Toms. Apparently it could be 6-8 weeks before I am more comfortable, thankfully only three of those will be on these bloody sticks…and it could be longer still before I am pain free in “proper” shoes. Bad news for this shoe addict, I have a beautiful pair of boots from Sarenza that I haven’t even been able to try on…I know what I’ll be living in the second I can! I guess this month my ambassador voucher will be going on supportive flats; lace up brogues perhaps? I’m trying to stay positive, and I’m getting on with day to day life but the pain is starting to really get to me and affect how well I’m coping with my anorexia recovery mission too. These things are sent to try us though and I WILL come out of with with a smile on my face and meat on my bones.

I hope you enjoyed the extra hour in bed.

Did you wear it pink on Friday?

Looking gorgeous sweetie xx ps I suffer from chronic pain because of the ms and have lots of things I do to help me cope with it. if you would like me to share (they’re mainly natural ways) drop me a msg on fb. the pain can really put me off my food and drop my weight badly so I know how important it is to keep on top of pain management xx

  11. gorgeous outfit on you, love that you’ve managed to keep the skirt from looking too grown up!
While the pain is affecting your appetite, indulge in lots of smoothies and hot chocolate with cream. It’s often easier to drink your calories.

  24. Big hugs to you. What I think will help: getting a really amazing flats (pink/sparkly/studded/cut-out/rainbow laces) that make you really happy when you wear them. I have silver holographic trainers from Office that are known by various people as my “happy shoes”!!

With everything mindset is the biggest battle.. and you’re doing so well, so keep up the positive thoughts.
