RIYKAis created by Rebecca & Vedran and is a product of: love, attention to detail, simplicity comfort, quality, and sustainability. It transcends the seasons; instead embodying quality & designs for life.  RIYKA combine different materials of the highest quality in jersey, denim, and leather, to create garments in geometrical shapes with vibrant, contrasting colors. The collection is inspired by the culture of East London’s Art, Jazz, photography and design scenes. Choosing the highest quality materials manufactured in the EU.  RIYKA support fair wage environment with, some materials reclaimed, some off cuts, and some British made. The potential and possibilities are endless as, for RIYKA, design is art and there is no limit’s to the materials used.
From East London to world influence RIYKA keep ideas fresh and lively. Influenced in small parts by photographer Vivian Sassen; a Dutch cultural fashion photographer and her images ‘Flamboya, seen through the collection’s saturated colour blocking and playful sense of movement conveyed”.
I am so in love with the simple, clean cut yet sophisticated designs in the classic laid back fabrics- denim, jersey and leather.

First up in the series is a swoon-worthy set of jewellery from blog favourite brand Guess. As you know, I have a lot of love for Guess Jewellery so it was only right that they should feature first.

Hello Fluffy

Jumper: New Look
Jeans: Primark
Shoes: Converse
Oh how I love this jumper from New Look. It was a lot for me to spend on one item of clothing but it was love at first sight. A lot of the fluffy jumpers I’ve seen  this season have been quite itchy inside but this one is soft all the way through and I’ve practically lived in it since I bought it home.
My favourite combination for it is with jeans and converse for the ultimate laid back look. I’ve been really impressed with these £9 skinnies from Primark, so far they have worn and washed well which I didn’t expect.
I’m not quite sure how we find ourselves at Monday again. It’s back to work for me today after a week off with sciatica I’m raring to go. I’m one of those people who hates sitting around the house with no purpose.
Well, lets get started then…
Have you seen any gorgeously soft fluffy knits on the highstreet? I’m after some more.

P.S. Sam who commented on yesterdays post…drop me an e-mail lovely, I’d rather talk about it that way for now x

Sarenza Sunday- Hard Worker

This week for my Sarenza Sunday feature I was determined not to showcase yet another ankle boot, which was tough because there are just so many awesome pairs in stock right now.
Instead I decided to focus on a party shoe, what with Christmas and all it’s festive gatherings soon to be here and all.
Kat Maconie’s Sylvia Shoe may cost £250 but I think it’ll be a worthy investment if you have the money to spend.
It’s bold and black and would go with everything from the infamous LBD to a smart pair of jeans and awesome jumper.
I’d love to own these and showcase just how many ways that can be worn,
sadly budget does not allow and party season will be firmly in flats for me once again. Maybe next year eh?
I can’t wait to see what other party fabulous shoes Sarenza get in, that site is lethal for my shoe cravings.

Guest Post: The Importance of an Office Dog

I’ve been e-mailing back at forth with the lovely Laura at Mallzee for months now…
talking about the new venture for the team and exchanging baking ideas (yep, I got her hooked on Nutella Fudge Brownies)
Lately we’ve been talking about office life and why Laura feels a dog should be a part of any office…here she has written a guest post for adaisychaindream featuring the rather cute Alfie.
Fashion and dogs go hand in hand, right? Team Mallzee certainly think so! After a stint at London Fashion Week launching our new app, one trend in particular caught our eye. It was furry and fabulous all at the same time, and no, it wasn’t the latest Fendi baguette- it was dogs. Now, we don’t want to blow our own trumpet here but we like to think we were slightly ahead of the curve on this one. Our office dog, Alfie, has been a long standing fixture at Mallzee HQ and is constantly overseeing our sartorial choices whilst keeping us entertained and cheery. Fashion snobbery, you’re nothing when faced with a loveable bundle of fluff!

Here’s why Mallzee think that every office needs a resident pooch:

-They keep the carpet spotless by hoovering up the crumbs from lunch

-They’ll dazzle you with their fabulous eyebrows

-Stressed? Take a minute out to give that furry BFF a snuggle and remember whatever you’re worrying about is probably NOT THAT BIG A DEAL

-They appreciate when you coordinate your outfit with their fur

-Can’t finish that sandwich but don’t want to see if go to waste? No problem! An office dog will sort that with a smile (or tail-wag, a smile would be really impressive)

-They roll about the carpet joyfully and don’t mind making a spectacle of themselves
-They peek up at you while you’re working to make sure you’re ok
We’re sure you can now understand why an office dog is essential and really is fashion’s best friend.
We’ve recently launched a new app, described as a ‘personal shopper in your pocket’, which is available on the app store now. We can’t take all the credit though, Alfie is the real mastermind behind it all.
Team Mallzee (& Alfie)

I don’t know about you, but I’m sold! Now to convince the Practice Manager that every doctors surgery needs a dog…
CQC may have something to say about that though. Damn.
Would you like an office dog?
