Harbour Life

Almost two weeks ago now it was the Harbour Festival in Bristol which I always like to go along to. Last year Ben and I ventured along to both the Saturday and Sunday to get the most out of it but thanks to thunderstorms and heavy rain we only made it along to the Sunday this year. It was a scorching hot day and incredibly crowded so we ventured off course a little bit for a wander around some quieter areas and found a cool little spot for some outfit photos…although by the time we got there my hair had frizzed up and I was feeling anything but cool!

Dress: ASOS Tall | Shoes c/o Missguided

I had this dress for my birthday way back in April and hadn’t got round to wearing it yet, I just love the mint green colour and scallop detailing as well as the perfectly decent length thanks to the brilliant tall range at ASOS. I paired it with these sandals from Missguided which were so insanely comfortable for walking around in (until it got too hot to want to wear any shoes!).
I love Bristol as wherever you go there is something cool to explore. The Harbour area is so vibrant and lively with gorgeous flats and houses mixed in with a huge chunk of history from Bristol’s days as an operational harbour. I might be biased but Bristol is easily my favourite city that I’ve visited, nowhere else seems to satisfy all areas of my personality and Ben and I often just wander around taking in the views. I’m starting to take my camera out and about with me more so I’ll try and share some more of my favourite areas in the not too distant future.
Welcome to August one and all, how are we here already? This year is flying by and I’m loving every second- next year is already shaping up to be a super exciting one too…gone are the days of really not liking life very much at all, right now I’m feeling very lucky and very hopeful.
What’s your favourite city?

  3. Sounds like things are really exciting at the moment! I’ve also been feeling really excited about the future recently (yay for recovery!). It’s hard for me to choose a favourite city… I love living near london because there’s so much variety and there’s always something new to do. Having said that, Cardiff will always have a special place in my heart! X x

The mint shade of your dress is just so utterly gorgeous! Love! It goes so perfectly against your red hair (I know I'm always saying this, but then again it's always true! Red is just one divine shade) 😀
