in time

They (whoever they are) say time is a great healer, and I guess that’s true, but for now the days are both far too long and far too short and I barely know what day of the week it is. I’m just about managing to keep on track thanks to this Sekonda Pink Ladies Party Time watch sent c/o Find Watches, a website specialising in, well…watches  at great prices and with free postage.
My Nan would have loved this watch and may well have tried to steal it off of me, and again, she seems to be my driving force behind posting right now.

The outfit also consists of my favourite Matalan skirt and a jewelled collar tee from H&M that cost something silly like £12.99. I figured it was time to stop moping in jeans and baggy jumpers, that wasn’t going to achieve anything and I can just hear my Nan shouting “don’t be so bloody stupid” all the time. The same goes for wanting to cancel my Birthday, which happens to be tomorrow. I turn 25 and would, quite frankly, like to ignore it completley. But again her voice rings true, and although it’s going to be very different this year, I will mark it some how.

Thank you again to everyone for the love and support. Both myself and my entire family truly appreciate it. I promise to try and pull myself together a bit more soon…
Starting to notice Mae sneaking in to every post I do, which rings true to how life is at the moment, it’s like me and my shadow. Pets are great. Really great.

  1. ooh i really like the jewelled collar tee 🙂 Xx

  2. Firstly my beauty; I think I am falling in love with Mae! <3

Keep going sweetie, they do say time heels & it does, but it takes time & it hurts, even now 6 years later I still miss my granny with everything; but rather than crushing me I find I am randomly laughing to myself at things that I would have told her/that remind me of her/ that she would have rolled her eyes at etc & if an uncertainty in myself suddenly feels certain, naturally I ‘blame’ her.

Vent at me anytime sweetpea. Sending the biggest cuddles as always. xxx

  3. Freaking love the jewel collar top, I have reignited my passion for H&M lately!

As for time healing, it kinda does, but patience seems to be the key. But I think you’re probably right by the sounds of the incredible person your Nan was, in that she would be pushing you to embrace your 25th year on the planet and remember to make the best of life whilst we’re here to enjoy it.

  4. Stay strong hun, I know it must be terrible. I am glad you still hear her voice in your head and know what she would be telling you.

A very happy birthday for tomorrow xx

  9. What an adorable kitty – she get cuter by the day.
My Gran’s funeral was the day before I got the results to determine whether I was to go to university or not – I had lost all interest until I realised that it was all she had ever wanted for me. That was nearly 10 years ago and I still think about her all the time, no more so than the day of my graduation. But it was her memory that kept me going and I graduated top of my class. Sometimes memories are just as supportive as if the person were really there.
