Sarenza Sunday- stone cold

Clearly making up for lost time on the shoe related posts right now, but browsing through the latest arrivals at Sarenza I was rather taken by the Graanite by Steve Madden flat (seemingly I’m resigned to another season of flats). I loved these so much that I immediately placed an order (thanks to being an ambassador for the store) and I can’t wait to see them in real life.
Practical but a little bit gaudy…what’s not to love?

DaisyChainDreaming- Chelsea Boots at Marks and Spencer

My beloved Yull Chelsea Boots finally bit the dust a few weeks ago, they were well worth every penny and served me well. I shall miss them but have dedicated some time to seeking out an alternative replacement.
Enter Marks and Spencer. Perhaps the least likely place I expected to find them…
The Autograph Leather Chelsea Ankle Boots cost a not unreasonable £65 and come complete with Insolia™ Flex  technology that ensures the foot is correctly positioned within the shoe and improves the natural rotational movement of the ball of the foot – Making comfortable shoes, even more comfy!

This makes them more than ideal for my still broken foot. I’m not holding out any hopes of a winter spent in heels…September the 6th with reveal my shoe fate.

In the meantime, every girl needs comfy shoes regardless, right?
All flat shoes at M&S now contain this technology and take it from me, there are some stunning styles right now.
Take a look and let me know what you think

Holiday Re-Cap Part 2

Apologies if you’re already bored of my holiday- I’m not!
I also apologise once again for the lack of words, some things are better said in pictures.
Chilling out at a beach bar

Pre-dinner drinks in our “home” town.

Amazing salad from Papa’s.

Bubblegum ice cream with sprinkles in a penguin cup. Amazing.

Fairly standard. I’m struggling to find somewhere I didn’t fall asleep!

Gorgeous Moroccan cafe/restaurant in Malaga.

Fish (squid) and chips, Spanish style.

Warm pastries and coffee for breakfast. Bliss.

We stayed one night in the poshest hotel in Malaga, this was part of our view.

And this was the other part. It may not look impressive but believe me, it was when you were there!

A rare shot of me swimming. Me swimming was rare!

One of our adventures. Post on that to follow.

Ellie and I were basically made up of diet coke by the end of the holiday.

View from a sun lounger in Torremolinos

Just about the only outfit shot I got!

I promise I am almost done with the holiday posts. I have just one more to share next week and it’s my favourite by far. I wish I could take you all there to experience it.
Do you ever feel the same way about things you’ve seen and done? What would you most like to share?

Beachwear Classics- a guest post.

The summer is not over yet, far from it! Even though the high street retailers are in the middle of
launching their AW13 collections and we are seeing more wool jumpers and coats arriving into our
favourite stores – it is still summer! While London will see temperatures above twenties throughout
August, Septembers forecast is not bad at all with temperatures just below the twenties. So there is  no need to pack away your swimwear quite yet!
A classic trend that never goes out of style is the polka dot bikini as every year there are new styles and shapes. This year the high waisted briefs made an appearance in the fashion scene and it has been received with enthusiasm from fashionistas. The 50s style is here to stay, blue and white, maritime, polka dots, bandeaus, high waist and swimsuits are key words for this trend. This look will certainly be a hit next summer season.

Swimsuits should not just be kept for sunbathing and swimming. They are their own little piece of
clothing that you can match up with other pieces to complete an outfit for that walk in the park, shopping or lunch. Match a swimsuit with some high waist vintage denim shorts or a bikini top with shorts and a casual open shirt. Complete the look with some colourful accessories such as thin  bangles, a belt or beaded sandals.

A swimsuit or a bikini top will also go well with a high waist maxi or midi skirt. Long skirts are one of this summer’s biggest trends, Monsoon have some great fitted maxis in different colours.

Finally the best tip at the moment is to look into retailer’s swimwear sale. A black or a white bikini will never go out of fashion, so getting it half price now will spare you pennies in the end.

This is a guest post written for my blog in keeping with my current “holidays” theme. No compensation was received for the post.

Holiday Re-Cap Part 1

Warning- there will be a lot of photos in this post. They are also not really in any kind of order so may make no sense at all. Oh sleep deprived brain, it’s making me go loopy. It’s worth it though, I had THE most incredible two weeks of my life. Ate amazing food, saw amazing sights and did amazing things. Most importantly though I re-discovered who I am. Onwards and upwards from here on out.
(Shout out to Ellie for being the best travel companion a girl could ask for and for introducing me to Spain in the first place!)
Papa’s in Malaga- does the world’s best sandwiches and salads.

Beach in Benalmadena

One of many diet coke and coffee stops

Typical of the village where we stayed. It’s a stunning place.

More of where we stayed.

This was moments before I ventured to the sea and got taken down by a giant wave (which also stole my havianas!)

Aftermath.

My gorgeous Ellie!

Beach hair, as in hair full of beach.

View from a morning stroll.

The gorgeous town of Frigiliana, set in the hills

The town centre there.

A friend of Ellie’s has this view every day!

Loved this statue in Fuengirola

Sorry for the overload of images, I have two similar posts to come…we did and saw so much it’d be impossible to put in to words- day trips, touristy days, beach days, parasailing and just living life to the max. I wish I could share the sights, sounds, smells and incredible tastes of it all with everyone.
Until next time…
