show some leg

Dress: Missguided
Tights c/o Stockings HQ
Boots: New Look
I always look so miserable in my photos, I swear I’m not I just seem to permanently feel awkward posing on my own in front of a camera. The photography on my blog is a real bug bear at the moment, I am desperate to get some improvement going on. I ought to make use of the weekends with Ben, stop slobbing round in jeans and a jumper and get him to take some photos for me!
Anyway,
I thought I’d be a bit brave and get my legs out properly for the first time in ages. With tights like these you can’t really help but show off even if it may get you arrested for public indecency.
This dress is probably one of the best buys I’ve made, it cost £14.99 and I’ve worn it so much. I’m amazed it’s lasted so long and washed so well- nice one Missguided!
All I need now is a hair cut and colour (dire need) and a smile on my face and I’d have a semi decent outfit post. So near yet so far! Prepare for a barrage of awesome tights though as Stockings HQ kindly sent me some of their amazing new arrivals to wear on the blog. I’m all about the black patterned tights this season.
Happy Halloween folks,
who’s got exciting plans?
Me? Nope, work then a lazy afternoon having being non-stop busy all week.
By 7pm you’ll find me in PJs eating sweets meant to Trick or Treaters watching rubbish on TV.

Christmas Gifting- Grace & Ted

A more unexpected source of Christmas gift inspiration comes from one of the many second-hand designer retailers offering up big name labels for a fraction of the price.
My current favourite of these boutiques is Grace & Ted whom I’ve been stalking over twitter for some time now. Lately I’ve also been e-mailing with them and between us we’ve compiled our favourites from what they have to offer (maybe not gift material, unless to yourself but there are gift ideas a plenty on the website and in store!)
First, a little bio from the website:
Grace & Ted is Bath’s innovative designer resale boutique. As seen in Vogue’s Best of Bath feature and Glamour’s ‘Beautiful Bath’ we are dedicated to bringing you the best designer labels, without the designer price tag.
Previously The Frock Exchange, with our name change came the introduction of a menswear collection. We have developed a fantastic selection of designer labels including Lanvin, Armani, Gucci & Prada but are continually accepting new stock – so clear out those wardrobes boys!
Our commitment to style, quality and helping you to find your ‘forever pieces’ combines with our passion for affordable, timeless fashion to create a unique and special shopping experience.
Discover the industry’s finest: Chanel, Hermès, Prada, Louboutin, Mulberry & more…..
Fashion evolves but style endures.
Extra services we provide include bespoke hat and fascinators, designed to match any outfit. If the fit isn’t quite right, we also offer a professional alteration service.
So come in and say hello Monday to Saturday, our door is always open or shop online anytime!
And now for the goods…
Charlotte Olymipa Shoes- size 6, £295 (I have tried everything to get this to rotate!)

Russell and Bromley Studded Boots- size 6, £80

Alice Temperley Holdall, £250

Some people may not like the idea of giving second hand as gifts but personally I think it’s great especially if you want to impress someone special without seriously blowing the budget (just a minor explosion). It’s also has a far higher ethical impact than buying brand new and you can pick up some real one off pieces that nobody else will have.
Grace & Ted is located at No.10 Kingsmead Square, Bath, BA1 2AB
and you can browse everything and get in touch via the website
What are you thoughts on gifting pre-loved items? I wouldn’t say no to santa bringing me any of these and I’m looking forward to a visit to the shop the next time I’m in Bath.

Lady in Red

I’m fussy when it comes to perfume and tend to have one or two signature scents I know I can rely on. Still, when Oriflame announced the launch of “My Red” by Demi Moore (I don’t think I’ve ever owned a celebrity fragrance before) I was intrigued as the description was quite simply, seductive as was the gorgeously bright, simply and yet somehow sexy bottle.

The perfume was created in collaboration with Demi Moore and renowned perfumer Vincent Schaller.
Featuring a very special and rare variety of jasmine – red jasmine – My Red is a magnetising fragrance which invokes a notion of sensuality, Hollywood glamour and elegance.

Red jasmine is symbolic of the notions of attachment and sensuality. With its bold and confident scent, My Red is for women who dare to make a statement and who dream of being admired, irresistible and truly magnetising.

Renowned A-list actress, Demi Moore, is the face and inspiration for the exclusive My Red Eau de Parfum. Demi’s strength, talent and incomparable beauty fascinate men and women from all walks of life. With her beauty and talent casting a spell over audiences around the globe, she is a true femme fatale, making her the perfect inspiration for the exclusive My Red.

Prized for its simple beauty and sweet fragrance, women in different cultures have worn jasmine flowers in their hair for centuries, solidifying its reputation as the bloom of choice among modest, elegant and graceful women.

The red jasmine notes are floral, sophisticated and even more opulent than other jasmine varieties with more fruity, sensual and addictive facets, giving this fragrance a more contemporary and audacious signature.

When blending this rare ingredient with white flowers, cranberry and juicy granny smith apples, a beautiful, magnetic and opulent aroma is unveiled.

Both Jasmine and apples are some of my favourite scents so it was pretty much a sure bet I’d love this perfume, but you never can tell until you’ve worn it for a day or so which is exactly what I have been doing. In fact I’ve worn it non stop for the last week and at this rate I’ll be on my second bottle by Christmas.
It’s not too heavy so perfect for every day but it has enough weight to be more suited to the winter months than my usual light and floral fragrances.
Currently the perfume is available at a special price of £20.95 for a 50ml bottle, the normal RRP will be £30.95 from November 9th so now is a good time to snap this up (Christmas present anyone?)
To find your nearest supplier or to order online just visit the Oriflame website– I’ve become pretty obsessed!
What’s your favourite scent?

Printing.

Dress: ASOS
Tights: Primark
Boots: I Love Shoes @ Sarenza
Hello pre-work photos, the joy of darker mornings eh? Still, I do love a good printed dress to brighten the day and this one from ASOS certainly does the trick. I bought it over a year ago now for some stupidly cheap price in the sale and always forget I own it. Then I wear it, realise I love it before promptly forgetting all about it though.
It is a dream of a dress though, so flattering and smart yet cheerful enough not to feel drab at work.
Speaking of which, I need to eat some breakfast and get ready for work…I’m multi-tasking today with a clinic this morning and reception this afternoon, I’d better eat an extra weetabix!

Sarenza Sunday- well, they aren’t black…

Ok so this week’s Sarenza Sunday pick is yet another ankle boot but they aren’t black for once (although they do come in black too)
I’m really loving both the red and the navy colour way of the Victoire by Any Boots although at £140 a pair I’d have to choose between them and I’d probably end up with black just for the versatility.
If black didn’t exist though I have to say I am quite enjoying the red, there’s something about a splash of colour to brighten up a dull Winter day right?
Which colour would you pick?
