Gadget Girl- Wrappz

My iPad and I are pretty much surgically attatched these days. It took me a while to warm to it, really I didn’t have much need for it until I started spending weekends at Ben- it came in to it’s own there, allowing me to keep up with social media (yes, I’m a twitter addict and constant instagrammer) whilst Ben was watching football or playing guitar. Our bond deepend when I was put on sick leave in November due to my back, and again since I had the operation, sitting down is pretty painful when you’ve had your lower spine messed with so being propped up on bed yet still able to interact with people really made a difference and helped me feel a bit less isolated.
It’s only fitting, given how much I use it that my iPad has a snazzy home right? I have a few folding cases and a sleeve for it but for some time had been thinking about getting a hard case as well. It was oppurtune timing when Wrappz got in touch asking me if I’d like a custom case and of course I said yes!
Who or what better to have on a case than my little minx, Mae? I do try and feature her on the blog when I can, but getting her to stay still or cooperate with anything is near impossible so here she is in iPad case form! I was so impressed with the quality of my case from Wrappz, the photo has come out brilliantly and when you design your product there is a handy guide on the website to give you a good idea of what the real thing will look like. Delivery was so quick too, within three days I had this through the door and ready to roll!
The website is super easy to use, with the option of uploading your own photographs/images or selecting from pre-existing ones. The instructions are step by step and there are cases available for a vast number of different electronic devices (you know, except my phone- there never is for a reason- my phone is so rubbish it shouldn’t even exist- er, sorry for that rant!). If you want to test Wrappz out for yourself they have kindly given me a code for you to use to claim a free phone skin (not solid like a case, more like a sticker that can be removed and re-used easily.)
To claim your free phone skin you just need to pop on to the website and hover over the “skins” tab to select your phone model. All you need to do is get creating then enter the code freeskin at the checkout, you’ll need to pay for the p&p but that’s it! Enjoy and let me know what you create!

Gadget Girl- Little Black Box

My trusty old laptop is becoming a little less trusty. Age is catching up with it and every so often it throws a fit and crashes for no reason. It worries me as one day it won’t turn back on and I’ll have once again lost everything (you’d think I would have learnt from the demise of my previous laptop several years ago). Even if I manage to afford a new blogging buddy before this one goes to the scrapheap in the sky I’ll be hard pushed to recover everything off it, thankfully Tesco Compare came to my rescue by providing me with an external hard drive to back up everything that’s important to me.
There are many benefits to be had from an external hard drive that I had never really considered before. It was always something I was meaning to get but never quite got around to. I have to say it’s a worthy investment though- backing up my photos, blog files, music and downloads was really quick and easy. Did you know that home insurance will often cover the loss of digital downloads and music should anything happen to it? I didn’t and I’m glad now that I do.
Hard drives often have a very large capacity, my model is 3TB (or 3000GB). This is much bigger than my laptop’s storage space so I had no worries about being able to get everything on there and it’s also a secure storing space for photos or videos that you don’t have space for on your computer (vloggers and bloggers take note!)
It also means all of your information is portable so if you moved house and say, your computer got lost in the move you would still have everything in one (fairly) light weight space. Brilliant.
I’m no longer so worried about my laptop’s days being numbered, everything is backed up and ready to be transferred to it’s successor and I never need fear about losing precious photos my music library again.

Sheer Genius- The SOLID CHOCOLATE Easter Egg

Who doesn’t love an Easter Egg? Up until this year I had spent 11 years missing out; now I’m in a much better place I’m making up for lost time and have already eaten two with around a month still to go! What can I say? I’m well on my well to being healthy about food and well, perhaps egg shaped?!
Easter Eggs are so easy to eat in their entirety though aren’t they? The hollow middle makes you think that there’s nothing really there and before you know it there is just a pile of foil left behind. I’ve heard many a people moan about the hollow feeling left behind- it’s almost like being cheated right?! Not anymore! Today I introduce you to the most genius invention of all time; the best thing since the invention of Easter Eggs themselves…the SOLID CHOCOLATE Easter Egg!
Prepare to have your mind blown.
As you can see, this beast weighs in a a massive 700g (that’s a lot of chocolate!) and is split in to 42 decent sized chunks. I broke in to this whilst Ben was staying at the weekend and between four of us we still couldn’t manage half of the egg, I think the record was Ben’s five chunks in one go so it’s pretty good for portion control. One chunk contains approximately the same calories as a row of Dairy Milk from a sharing bar and to be honest, one chunk at a time is enough!
A note on the chocolate itself, because nobody likes nasty chocolate from an otherwise promising product. No worries here. The chocolate recieved thumbs up from everyone, it really is of a superb quality. The egg looks quite spectacular too. Mine was a bit dusty looking, for want of a better word- I am putting this down to the fact I dropped it at least twice though.
These eggs are made in limited quality and are avaialble on The Solid Chocolate Company website. Available in milk, white and dark chocolate the eggs cost £19.99 each but for 700g of solid, high quality chocolate that aint’ a bad deal. Supermarkets sell hollow eggs weighing less than that for similar prices, this one will leave no hollow aftertaste or regret (and if you ate a chunk a day it could last six weeks, just sayin’).
This really is one of the most genius products ever in my eyes. Will you be asking the Easter Bunny for one? What’s your favourite Easter Egg?

Pink Feather

This post is made up of favourites old and new. You’ll have to excuse the random photography, these were some of the first photos I took with my new camera using my tripod and I seemingly had some issues with the height adjustment!
Dress c/o Motel | Boots c/o Missguided
So these boots won’t be to everyone’s taste but I personally can’t get enough of them. At first I thought they were quite ugly looking but the more I saw of them online the more my desire for them grew. I was lucky enough to have these sent to me by Missguided and every time I wear them I get stopped by so many people wanting to know where they are from! They are really, REALLY comfortable too- not often the case with “fashion footwear”. You can expect to see a lot more of these!
I don’t even know how long I’ve had this Motel dress for now, it’s got to be a good three years and I still love it. It’s one of those dresses that fits and flatters no matter what my weight has done and is smart enough for an office shift at work with some more formal footwear as well as being the perfect candidate for a dressing down at the weekends. I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of this!
Do you have any items in your wardrobe you think you’ll never part with?

Wish List- Jewellery World

So yesterday I featured the lovely ring I was sent from Jewellery World whilst mentioning how I was moving away from my usual silver jewellery style a bit and veering towards delicate gold pieces. I thought it a bit cruel to only feature the one ring when there are so many other beautiful pieces available on the website- and with Mother’s Day fast approaching it might give you some inspiration for a gift for your Mum too!
First up we have the seriously statement 9ct Gold Sapphire and Diamond Panther Pendant which I seriously love. It’s not the most delicate of pieces so I have totally contradicted myself but this would be so fierce with a plain tee for the Summer. Next up is a possible gift for Mums; the 9ct Gold CZ Round Stud Earrings which are such a classic. I always feel I have too many ear piercings to pull this style off but I always admire them on other people.
Moving on to possibly my favourite piece in this wish list, this Rose Gold Amethyst and Diamond ring is a serious piece of finger decoration. I love the combination of colours and how it manages to be proper bling without looking too obvious (that made so much more sense in my head!) Another ring and I’m almost equally as smitten with this one. The Rose Quartz and CZ work so beautifully with the delicate gold banding, I love Rose Quartz, my second favourite next to Rubies and pink and gold is such a classic. Forever wishing I was rich!
Last but by no means least is the 9ct gold belly bar, this may seem like an odd thing to be lusting after but I’ve had my bellybutton pierced for a long time now- 12 years or something like that and I never change it. I’d really like a simple classic bar just so I know it’s there…I don’t want to be flashing midriff but I do love my piercing and want it to look pretty to me!
So there’s my little wish list and now it’s your turn- take a look on the website and let me know what’s caught your eye.
