rock and roll

Happy Mid-Week! Half way to the weekend, hurrah!
This is actually what I wore yesterday, as today I have (another) cold and look like something the cat dragged in; though not my cat…he’s too lazy and afraid of small creatures to bring anything other than himself through the cat flap!

I think this jumper dress from New Look is going to end up being my buy of the season. I went two sizes up to get the desired loose fit and it’s SO comfortable.

Not much else to report on, such is the quiet life I lead. I’m supposed to be researching my next moves in terms of courses etc,
but really, I’ll probably just crawl back in to bed for the third time today.

Check out our Autumn Handbag Essentials post on Can’t Help but Be, too
I’m trying to step things up a gear with this blog now I’m used to wordpress so expect more posts more often,
including the Christmas gift guides I promised. Many thanks for the suggestions…

Monday Morning

Happy Monday lovely people, its cold and gloomy outside today, I still need a lamp on to see my laptop keyboard and it’s 2:37pm. Insanity. I hate when you get up in the morning and fall over your feet/mess on your bedroom floor/sleeping cat trying to find the light switch.

I had to brave the cold, though thankfully dry outdoors to make my way to a doctors appointment. As such, my outfit featured more layers than shown, but I only photographed the basics. Who wants to see plain cardigans or my winter coat huh?

I originally had green tights on, but brown went better with the dress and the boots I wore.

My shopping urges are still going strong, and on my way home from my appointment I ended up buying a jumper dress from New Look (see here)I justified it by using a 20% off voucher, making it £16. Thankfully the teeeeny tiny store in my town didn’t have much sale stock, or else I’d have been in trouble!
I also walked out of the supermarket (having only popped in to get a drink) with 2 bags of Haribo and a bag of mini fruitellas. Oops.

I hope everyone has a great week,
don’t forget to check out my jewellery in the post below 😉

New Look TV

With all the talk of New Look lately, I thought I’d share episode three of New Look TV

New Look also have a mid-season sale on right now,
so its the perfect time to treat yourself…like I plan to tomorrow 😉
(I seem to have serious shopping mania at the moment)

That’s it for today, I’m tired after an exhausting week. Back to usual outfit posting etc next week.

This denim shirt is the last of my purchases from last week. It’s from New Look (see, I’m obsessed with that shop!) and was £20 (I had a 20% off voucher, should have been £25)

Hopefully a semi lazy weekend ahead, I’m so tired. I may not do much with my life right now, but lack of sleep is driving me insane.

Strictly tonight X-factor tomorrow
(work comes first though, I loathe my 8:30am start time)

What are your plans?

New Look + Idol = heaven

As regular readers of my blog you guys must know by now how much I love New Look. I shop there pretty much all the time, and have done for years. I’ve become increasingly impressed with the value and quality of the clothes and even when I vow I’ll go somewhere else for a new outfit, or pair of shoes 75% of the time (at least) I end up with a New Look bag in hand.

So, when I got the Press Release for the new range, Idol, I was beyond excited.

“This premium brand is fresh and dynamic bringing a vibrant vintage rock vibe to a select number of stores internationally. Aimed at the style savvy shopper,
the girl who wants to rock the trends of the moment in her own unique way.
Packed with must–haves: sequin boyfriend blazers, funky jumpsuits, denim
and effortlessly cool, printed tees and dresses. Also featured is Idol footwear, gladiator style stilettos, spike heel peep toe and chain adorned ankle boots.
The directional accessories continue with chunky necklaces, statement cuffs and much–loved bags.
“Idol is for the girl who wants to own her look rather than dress like everyone else”, say Shoreditch-based designer Donovan Pascal who along with his partner marketeer Mark Herman have spent many years as key figures in the fashion world evolving a signature style for many of the coolest labels around this earning them a host of A–list fans.
Inspired by ‘80s rock icons such as Debbie Harry, the 32 garments and 36 accessories of the first collection are woven together by a series of intricate details – with the signature ‘Idol print’ running through dresses, jackets and
bag linings. Beautifully–made, every piece of the Idol collection comes with
a hand-crafted, customised feel that encourages women to wear it in their own, individual way. Idol will drop six collections a year with the second collection hitting stores in November”.

Enjoy,
I’ll keep you posted on more updates!
