Happy Easter! Who’s already in a chocolate coma?

Dear Uk, please start selling Peeps. I LOVE the marshmallow good/badness.

This weekend has been glorious…hot, happy inducing summer sunshine; I could get used to this! It’s made all the more sweet by actually being able to appreciate and enjoy it all this year, rather than it passing me by in some kind of blur.

Outfits have involved the obligatory floaty florals.

Saturday; Primark maxi skirt and cardi thing. Staple £1.99 New Look vest that I now own in five colours.

I saw this from my window Saturday morning. I’m so excited for Bristol Balloon Fiesta and actually being able to go this year, I love hot air balloons and the night glow is generally amazing!

Easter outfit; Vintage dress from ebay. Tights which were abandoned for bare legs and sandals that shredded my feet despite usually being my comfy shoes.

Midi Ground

Firstly, WOAH, thank you so much for all the votes on the Matalan Style Project so far! If you haven’t voted yet and fancy popping on over then do feel free!

Now, this is yesterdays outfit. The dress is Primark; expensive Primark at that. I don’t think I’ve ever paid £15 for a dress in there before, but there is something quite balletic about it and I love the midi length, so I parted with my hard won cash.

Had this dress cost £15 elsewhere I wouldn’t have hesitated on snapping it up, even for a second…most likely deeming it a bargain,
but that price in Primark? I found myself shaking my head and muttering “bloody inflation/rip offs/I’m such a cheapskate” under my breath as I made my way to the till.

Are you the same? Do you have an “acceptable limit” when it comes to certain shops?

P.S. Happy Good Friday,
I hope everyone enjoys the day off AND the sunshine!

Top to Toe- I need your vote!

Everything I’m wearing in this outfit, bar the tights is from Matalan…The reason being I’m taking part in the Matalan Style Project competition, with a floral theme!

Timeless

Timeless shoes are a brand I had never heard of up until a few weeks ago when Mum and I treated ourselves to a pair of their sandals.
We both went for the Hathaway style (me in black, her in cream) and have agreed they are the comfiest sandals we own

Hathway Sandals, £35

I seem to be on a shoe binge right now, I’m for once lusting over footwear more than I am dresses, nail polish or even TIGHTS!

Here are a few more Timeless styles I have my beady eye on.

Heather Sandals, £47. Hathway have become my work shoe of choice, so I pretty much need these for my “play” shoes, right?

Bubble in Black, £22. Not my usual style but there is something quite endearing about these.

Bailey, £20. So what if I own several pairs of sandals in this style already? Mine are all brown/tan, black/silver would balance it out nicely.

Honey, £29. I wish I could explain why I covet these so much. They just seem so…comfortable and pretty damn awesome!

Have you heard of Timeless shoes before? What’s your go-to brand for comfort AND style?

Blonde Ambition?

With perfect timing, just as I finally had some hair lopped off, a parcel from Aussie arrived. Last time it was a balloon…this time a wig…
I’m enjoying this Angel lark, if only for the increasingly random packages that make their way to my doorstep.

There is method behind this madness though, you see, I signed up for the “lusciously lighter style” challenge,

The first of these trial styles was a blonde bob.
Now, I’ve had short hair before, and I have also at times had highlights, but never have I gone fully blonde before.

Below,
well, this shows why.

I’m prepared to go all out for this challenge, truly I am. But golden tresses are ticked firmly off my list!

Maybe vibrant red will be next…
